The room and staff were both phenomenal. The patio stting was awesone and we really enjoyed sitting out outside. The patio was secluded which aslo was a plus. The staff and valet were very helpful and attentive to our needs.

The location was a little tough getting into on the day of arrival due to the Oscars being on the same night. The street was closed off due to the Oscar parties in the hotels and surrounding buildings. We were given instruction that the hotel was valet parking only but we had to circle the area for over an hour because there were zero places to park outside in order to check in due to the Oscars being on the same day and the street was blocked off. Had to park our car in the middle of the street and run in to see where we needed to park in order to check in. Thought the hotel should have sent us a text giving the travelers that day some better information.

The Hollywood Grande was lovely. The staff was wonderful and we took advantage of most of the amenities the hotel had to offer. We enjoyed breakfast each morning at the rooftop terrace and spent much of our time at the pool. The location was convenient to nearby restaurants, we especially enjoyed Ka’teen. I also attended a fun yoga session at the nearby sister hotel. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. We were on the eighth floor in a corner room so our view of the city was stunning. We thought the happy hour at the lobby bar was also a very nice touch.

Our room only had one reading lamp by the bed. We would have enjoyed one on each side of the bed. Also, the pool was too shallow with only 3 1/2 ft. at the deepest end so it was uncomfortable to swim.

The location of the hotel was great and the room was very comfortable. The breakfast at The Terrace on the top floor of the hotel is amazing! the location of our stay in LA is close to where we want to go, and the hotel is safe to stay at, so we definitely want to stay at the Thompson Hollywood Hotel again next time! We will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary next year. We will definitely come back! The purpose of the trip was to watch a night game at Dodgers Stadium and go to Universal Studios. There is a supermarket, Trader Joe's, Target, Post Office, Netflix Shop, Coffee shop, Tacos, In-Out Burger, and Hollywood Boulevard within walking distance.

We stayed in a suite, but it was a shame that there was no refrigerator. We can't drink alcohol and have allergies, so we don't buy certain drinks or snacks, so we don't use hotel minibars wherever we go. We tend to buy our own and bring them in, so a refrigerator would have been perfect.

Loved my room, the bars and the pool.

It would need a boiler in the room as well as space in the fridge for our own things.

restaurants all closed on one day of our stay and rooftop terrace on two days so no view of Hollywood sign ( reason for booking this hotel ) we had the $16 continental breakfast which seemed good value but after we were charged extra for the coffee an juice almost doubling the bill !! we did not do that again ! also they tried to charge us a $160 lobby bar bill. we did not ever use this and took 2 days to get them to sort it out. leaving bad feeling all round. it was eventually sorted on leaving after threatening not to pay at all. overall a lovely hotel but many flaws. surely at least one restaurant could remain open every day

I loved everything about my stay. The room - especially with that terrace - was incredible! The staff was very kind and everything was new and clean. The food at the bar and the bartender were great! 10/10 never felt more comfortable staying in Hollywood. It is right across from the nya studios which was convenient for an event I attended.

I do not like the party crowd on the weekend, but the hotel‘s security had it under control luckily.

We stayed in the Thompson Hollywood for 3 nights on the first leg of our LA trip in December 2022. The rooms were beautiful, clean, thoughtfully equipped (e.g. There was a clothes steamer in the wardrobe), bright and very comfortable. The staff were helpful and attentive. The overall style and vibe of the hotel was wonderful, from the living wall of plants in the entry way to the art and decoration of the very comfortable lobby. We were there to see the sights of Hollywood and were a few mins walk from everything! I would recommend this hotel to anyone stopping off in Hollywood!

Just an FYI - This may be standard in the US but I was not aware (from Ireland) that as I was using a debit card rather than a credit card to book the hotel, I was charged a security deposit per room per booking amounting to around 600 dollars being charged to my debit card and taking 5 working days to be refunded. It was a hit to the holiday spending money - Just something that is worth being aware of.

good location in Hollywood area. Clean hotel

Breakfast was ok but the staff were not friendly waited forever just for someone to approach me and then I was seated in a sun, they did not provide any umbrella for me but did provide it to the people who were already sitting in the shade. Also there was no coffee/tea machine but there is an expensive mini bar

Great location and happy with the price . Lovely hotel with friendly vibe. Rooftop pool and breakfasts with view of hollywood sign and cinerama dome. Found a problem with the toilet when we first landed, but staff sorted it quickly and with no fuss. Happily recommend it.

Found a broken toilet when we landed, but staff moved us to the new room within an hour. Airline was a little loud but fine when switched off.

When we arrived at the hotel I broke my phone and I couldn’t pull up my reservation or pay with my phone. Jahnee was very patient and helpful in that moment. Jahnee pulled up our reservation even upgraded our room because it was our honeymoon and she even came up to our room short after we checked in to give us a nice bottle of champagne and some chocolates to celebrate our honeymoon. For the remainer of our stay Jahnee and the other staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was one to remember. I highly recommend staying at the Thompson.
