Very simple. The process to get in was easy and appreciated especially after a long journey to get there. Not a lot of space but it wasn't what we were looking for anyway. Shared bath was surprisingly accomodating. The lights in the room that tell you when someone is on the bath makes it easier to avoid awkward knocks on the door. The location was also close-ish to all the touristy sites so that was good as well.

A washing maching would've been nice. Better air circulation in the bathrooms to get rid of smells would also be appreciated. Plus my friend hit her head on the top of the bunk bed. That was not criticism, just thought it was funny so I'm letting other people know so they can laugh with me.

Things that can be improved 1) i wish there were more hooks or ledges to keep your stuff in the bathroom 2) vacuum cleaning under the beds, i found used socks

We have arrived to the hotel later than expected however we were greeted and given our room with no issues. There is a 50usd cover which you have to pay before you get your room, but I received it back on my card the same day. The room was quite small - however it was not uncomfortable at all. The "shared bathroom" might look scary if you are used to different, but it was actually 4 bathrooms (and indicators in the room which bathroom is available at all times) and we never had an issue. The place is close to most central locations, it is a perfect choice for your stay.

This is only not picking. Still giving 5 stars!! Buts a budget friendly hotel usually attracts younger solo travellers and more due to the lack of hostels in NYC. It would be nice for the hotel to offer a meet up or an event once or twice a week? Maybe in collaboration with the bar downstairs. Mondays are quiet at CH. a Special happy hour for guests. They would get business and your guests would have opportunities to meet people?

The place was at a great location. It felt secure/safe and comfortable . I really enjoyed my stay here at the POD51.

The room sometimes felt like it was humid inside/moist. Maybe it’s due to the type of weather in NY.

Pod 51 is at the center of Manhattan, the place has a beautiful outdoor area - next to its indoor caffé- their staff is genuinely attentive and helpful while being knowledgeable about the city’s activities. The shared bathrooms are clean, lifts accessible and all days working for the 2 weeks I stayed there. Besides the acquaintance of the agreed, Pod 51 is a flexible place when it comes to upcoming changes, ready to help!

Would be great if there were an owned restaurants for the nights after long working days, but hey; they have 2 restaurants with their left & right neighbors, so all good! All good!

Pod51 was an excellent hotel for our requirements. Mum (39yo) and son (21yo) forst time visitors to NYC. The location was perfect with Times Square being 15/20min walk away. The room (a bunk bed room) was great - the TV’s were good for some back ground noise when getting ready. The towels and sink amenities in the room (soap, rinsing cups, floor mat, and three towels each) were topped up daily. The beds were so comfy and the pillows (2 each) were perfect. The bed was perhaps a little on the short side if you are 6ft or more. The shared bathrooms were always clean (not sure if we just got lucky with other decent guests). The water pressure was great and the water nice and warm. The cafe hut in the lobby was a nice touch for grabbing a coffee and pastry to go. The roof terrace and outdoor spaces were great. The staff were brilliant and held our luggage for free on our departure day as we had 5 hours between checkout and heading to the airport.

Nothing - I’d stay again and again.

Central place, very pleasant. The room we took had no shower and toilet. But there are several on the floor and there is always one available (bring slippers for the shower). Next to the hotel there is a cool bar with many kinds of beers and board games. I sat there several times. The staff is very nice and helped us a lot. There is a small cafe in the lobby and you can stock up on coffee and pastries in the morning. Really recommended place.

Can't find negative things to write about. Maybe the water flow in the shower and that the showers are not cleaned frequently. Sometimes you enter after someone and the whole floor is water.

Location very good (both in terms of reaching JFK airport as well as exploring Manhattan and Brooklyn) Single bed pod rooms are simple and small, but I felt really comfy. I also had a sink, hairdryer etc. in my room which also relaxes the situation of eventually occupied shared bathrooms / showers. There was also a safe and opportunities to place some cloth etc. within the room. The room was also made every day :) Very kind and helpful staff at the reception as well as very friendly cleaning personnel (especially want to highlight the maid from El Salvador, who was kind of the good soul of floor 14)

Location, price to value ratio. Very high quality of service considering "low cost" accomodation (shared bathroom, etc.). Free luggage storage, access free balcony at 14th floor.
