The hotel is located in a beautiful forest, quiet and tranquil. There was an onsen in our room, which had hot water running all the time, and that was a wonderful experience. The staff booked a dinner for us in a restaurant nearby, which was amazing. The room had ample space, and provided amenities like cosmetics, slippers, comfortable robes, local sweets, tea and coffee. The breakfast was great and copious.

When we checked in, we only got access to one bedroom and toilet in the villa we booked, not 2 as described on Booking and the hotel's website. It took quite some convincing to get access to the second bedroom and toilet (there were 4 people in our group). The onsen was great, but not like the pictures on the website, which showed 2 big semi open onsens (the villa ended up having a small indoors onsen). Then, overnight we found 4 enormous spiders have crawled in our rooms/shoes (I'm talking palm sized spiders), which was not a pleasant experience. This is not the hotel's fault, it had been raining that day and they were probably seeking a dry spot, but it still left an impression on our stay.

Served as a lovely home base to explore the Aso Kuju area. The room was spacious and clean with a private onsen which was hot. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The Japanese breakfast was great (they also offered to prepare a Western style breakfast). Unfortunately it was rainy/cloudy during most of our stay, but there was a nice view from the deck. It's probably best to have a car to reach the accommodation. Would highly recommend staying here!

The breakfast was the best breakfast I've ever had in a hotel. Freshly prepared, lots of variety, and super delicious. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The private onsen was super nice. The staff was warm and friendly! The dinner at the nearby Japanese restaurant (booked through the hotel) was also delicious!

There were some insects that emerged in the room at night. I guess it's hard to prevent given the location of the hotel in a rural area.

We stayed three nights in Spagreenness and it was one of the best hotel experiences that we’ve ever had. The hotel staff were super friendly, the room was sparkling clean and the breakfast was delicious and rich in variety. No need to say that the private onsen experience with the view of mountain Aso was the absolute highlight.

Nothing, everything was perfect!

I would recommend to stay atleast 2 nights in this resort because the check in time is 4pm and 10:30am for check out. The room is spacious and It comes with 2 private Onsen for Akane room.(Indoor & Outdoor) The enviroment is good for those who seek for peace of mind as the place is far from Town. It takes 40 mins to reach fr Özü town or an hour travel from ASO mountain to the resort. The breakfast serve in Japanese cuisine.

The check in time is too late at 4pm and the check out time is at 10:30 in the morning. Akabe room need to revamp.

First the hard facts: the hotel is an oasis of quietness and affordable luxury in the middle of Kyushu’s mountains. The are several apartments with private onsen and some with view over the mountain side. A very tasty and rich breakfast (Japanese or western) is available in the main building. Great Restaurants and a cafe with delicious cake and views are nearby. But the most lovely point was this: In Japan you usually meet many respectful, friendly people. However, the staff in Spa Greenness was extraordinary. Already the information exchange when planning details weeks before our arrival was both cordial and professional. On location everybody was helpful and friendly, be it for a special breakfast or very helpful to book a ferry for the next travel section. It’s really the place to go if you want to find some peace and quietness away from busy cities.

It natural, so there are always some interesting small friends will be part of the house, but the staff are really nice to take care of it right away, so no need to worry from that. The food is amazing, traditional food , so it wait for a while for all the process, and breakfast are also hard working and good enough amount. Love it ! Full energy for the new day coming

It was the Most amazing HOtel with the Best service in such an amazing Boutique Hotel.They made it Special by arranging the best VEGETARIAN BREAKFAST which we never expected and Served by the Most amazing Senior members working at the Property Bringing a lot of Love in the Service

Super friendly & helpful staff. The room was all-together excellent. The views are breathtaking. Watching the night sky in a personal outdoor bath was glorious.

While the area is beautiful, there doesn't seem to be great hiking trails nearby. However, you can access plenty of them via bus if you plan ahead.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Loved the big bath inside our room. The staff was generally kind and professional. The Japanese restaurant right outside that we booked for dinner was also super nice!
