Pension/Room: Very comfortable and clean. We had our own dinner and breakfast at the common dining room. Location: Beautiful area in the heart of the Biei landscape. The iconic tree, Ken & Marry tree, is located just next to the pension (as the name of the pension implies). Pension owner: Very kind couple in their 70s. They extended their help in many ways. Their English is limited but they are trying their best to communicate.

Pension Ken & Mary's hosts are absolutely wonderful people, kind, welcoming and extremely helpful in every possible way. We stayed for 4 nights to go skitouring in the area since it's perfectly located in between Asahidake, Furano and Horokanai. Every afternoon we felt like coming home, can't recommend this place enough and would definitely stay here again!!

Very sweet and helpful couple who run this simple guesthouse with a stunning view. It seems most people have a car who stay here but the owner was very generous in taking me into town for two mornings. I think it's worth it to be in the countryside. I stayed in their large room with ensuite. Comfortable bed, good AC and a microwave, fridge and washer/dryer. Strangely there are no plates, silverware etc. I took a lovely hike right from the house at sunset and there are nice bike and pedestrian paths.

The main downside of this little pension is there is no comfortable place to sit and enjoy the incredible view outside. There is a large platform and all it would take to make it comfortable would be some plastic chairs, a table and umbrellas. Instead, they have uncomfortable wooden picnic tables. It would be so much more convenient for folks like me traveling by bus to have a couple of ebikes for rent at the pension. They have plenty of sheds which could easily accommodate bikes. I did rent a bike in town but it was too uncomfortable for me to last more than 2 hours on it. The bikes are too short for someone like me at only 5'5".

Wonderful location overlooking to picturesque landscapes of fields and trees. Had a wonderful time taking a stroll nearby while enjoying the beautiful views. Friendly hosts who tried their best to make my stay nice and pleasant. Breakfast was simple but just as lovely.

Soundproofing could have been better. And it is some distance from the town center where all the restaurants & shops are so commuting may not be easy if you don't have a car.

Really beautiful location in Biei and central located among the key sights i Biei and the surrounding area. The pension is very clean and well-kept and the hosts were so nice, friendly and helpful. The breakfast is also really good. All of this made our stay an unforgettable experience and we can highly recommend Pension Ken & Mary.

Of course the view from the property are insane.. The room was simple but very clean and feels like home.. i even sleep more than 10 hours because the room was very comfortable.. the owner was very helpful, eventho the shower are shared but it's very clean and nice.. i misa the owner, they took care of me really well

Marvelous house, the hosts were kind and friendly. Room clean. Breakfast prepared by host is simple yet delicious. The scenery around the house is breathtaking. Peaceful and comfortable stay .

Very clean. The floor is shining. Bedroom size is ok. Simple breakfast and it’s ok. Surrounding scenery is excellent.

Shared bathroom and toilet. But we have dedicated toilet assigned to our rooms which shared by 4 of us. You need a car to get your food or groceries at nearby town which is 2 km away.

It has everything you need and the location is perfect for a base to go out on photography excursions. The hosts are really lovely and accommodating.

The proprietors are the nicest couple and the accommodations were nothing fancy but it was clean and hospitable.
