Beautiful lounge area with free coffee and stunning views. Comfortable bed and a clever door to soundproof your room from noise in the corridor outside your room. Great location with easy access to the station and a shopping centre with lots of restaurants. There is a lovely park alongside the river next to the hotel/ station too. Wonderful English speaking employees at the Tourist Information Office downstairs.

The rooms had no rack for bags.

Everything about this hotel! It’s above the railway station and above a very modern shopping mall with food hall, coffee shops, supermarket, fashion stores - you’d be pushed to think of anything you couldn’t buy there - everything convenient and the surrounding park and mountains were a joy to look out upon everyday. So everything within easy walking distance. Also a great base for the many ski resorts/options within 1-2 hours train ride.

They didn’t provide instant coffee sachets in the room, just green tea sachets and an electric jug. However in the lounge area at reception, the espresso coffee machine which ground the coffee beans too, produced excellent coffee at a button press.

One of the best hotels we've stayed so far! Very very convenient location. Hotel is connected to both the JR train station and Aeon Mall. Rooms are very spacious, modern and clean. Nearby to bus stations as well! Their public onsen was superb! Hotel rooms have great view of the highway and bridge and even though the hotel is right beside a highway and train station, there's not much of noise when you open the window to let the cold air in inside. Even when window is closed, the room is not humid and is actually comfortable. There's also free coffee and tea at the lobby. Staff are helpful and can speak English.

Friendly staff. Excellent location with direct access to the JR station. Convenient especially during winter months. Love that it is connected with the shops, supermarket, drugstore and restaurants at the AEON mall. Bus to the Kamui ski links is a short walk across the street from the mall. Lovely view of the skate rink in front of the of the JR station square. Freshly brewed Coffee that you can take to your room. Great value for money.

Wish the room is a little bit bigger. That said, it is very clean and bed is comfortable. Breakfast offers good variety but wish it could be more refined by charging a little more.

The room was a bit cramped for 3 luggages but comfortably for 3 people to stay, bath and toilet were in the same room, made it feel like the space was too small. The view from the window was so stunning with snow piling up on the hills (or ski slopes, I still not sure until now). Almost all staffs were willing to help with what we needed. There was the common room (with mangas and free coffee) for customers as us to spend time. Also the washing room and vending machines. The hotel front desk is located on 5th floor of Aeon mall (just a couple minutes walk from the JR station, toward your left). We will definitely choose to stay here if we visit Asahikawa again.

A significant advantage of this hotel is its direct connection to JR Asahikawa Station, with the AEON Mall conveniently located just below. This setup ensures an easy transition to the hotel after a train journey, especially on a cold and snowy day, making the experience both comfortable and convenient. I would undoubtedly choose to stay at JR Inn again if available, as it eliminates the hassle of pulling luggage through the streets. The hotel boasts a modern design and offers thoughtful amenities, such as a unique "pillow closet," where guests can select their preferred pillow type and take extras to their room.

Room was spacious for 3 people. Wifi strength was good. Bed was comfortable and you can grab an extra pillow at the lobby. Breakfast was decent. I was amazed they served alcohol at the breakfast area. The great thing about it is that the hotel is linked to Aeon Mall so it is very convenient. JR Asahikawa station is also close by, less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

The staff who checked us in was rather cold. She wasn't rude but felt like she wanted to get rid of us as soon as possible even though there was nobody waiting behind us. From her accent when she spoke English, I could tell she was not Japanese. Unfortunately, the level of service you get from a a Japanese staff and a foreigner working in a Japanese establishment is very different.

Pretty much the best location in town for both arriving and departing from Asahikawa. The room was pretty standard, but the hotel exceeded expectations in terms of cleanliness. The public baths were nicer than expected as well.

Late at night the check-in can get really busy, same with the laundry. Also, the pillow library (which is a cool concept) ran out of pillows very quickly as the pillows in the rooms were quite hard.

Location is perfect. Next to main train station where there are lots of cabs and connecting busses. This is an Inn so bear in mind it’s not a hotel and they already mentioned it. What you have to expect is, it’s a transit accommodation place and there is Onsen and a business suite at the reception area. Best part and this is for family, the Inn is located near the city of Asahikawa and there’s clinic with senior doctors for emergency purposes. Within the Inn, Aeon mall with loads of food and supermarket is a heaven for most. Remember it’s a transit accommodation so place is a little small and tight. But clean and tidy.

Air Conditioning unit could have some minor upgrade as it takes long to fan the room and it’s hard to breathe. And have some USB port as most hotels and Inn have these days

Travelled by a leased car with my wife and 2 toddlers. It was easy to find. Parking was also relatively easy to find - just look for the AEON parking as they share the same parking. The elevator entrance was also easy to identify and conveniently accessible from the car park even with luggage and baby strollers. Having AEON right below is a massive bonus as food is conveniently accessible. The hotel location is also perfect for some of the must try foods like Genghis Khan BBQ, Ramen-ya Tenkin, Ramen Aoba which are all walkable. The room is neat and tidy although a little too dim to our liking. It is also slightly dated in terms of design but still very comfortable and clean to stay. Toilet is immaculate as usual and fresh towels are provided daily. There is also a pillow section near the receptionist where guests can choose which pillows they would prefer as they come in various softness and height (these are additional to the ones already available in your room). There is also a lounge area with a selection of manga and coffee machine. Definitely recommended.
