Location was very close to JR Asahikawa station and bus terminal (convenient if you’re going to Ueno Farm and Asahikawa Zoo). AEON Shopping Mall was also steps away. Hotel was fairly new and clean and reasonably spacious for one person. Cost per night was also very reasonable considering its central location.

Not sure if you have to ask for other amenities at reception but only a toothbrush was provided in the room.

Room spacious for Japan, everything seems new, bathroom was decent size, no high tub like most other Japan hotel bathrooms, just a shower stall. Communication with hotel staff thru Booking.com app was easy, hotel responded timely. PJs provided. Nice view of promenade to train station. convenience stores close by. Nice big widescreen tv with YT access. 1 block away from train and bus stations. Lots of restaurants close by

Only 2 elevators for 17 floors and they were very slow. FO staff were cold and aloof, could have been more friendly. No bottled water provided. Checkout is 10am, earlier than every other hotel I've stayed in 20+years, then it's $10 for each additional hour for late checkout.

Delicious breakfast buffet, relaxing public bath, great views of downtown and the train station...loved everything about this hotel. Comfortable, well-lit rooms...the cleaning staff were friendly and attentive. The front desk agents speak english and are incredibly helpful with local information and transportation needs. I will definitely be back.

I didn't know the hotel lobby was located on the 3rd floor of the building. Access is via a nondescript entryway/elevator on the ground level shared by another business. It took me a walk around the building to figure out I was in the right place : )

Spacious room for twin sharing even with extra bed. There is sofa and table in room. Very near Asahikawa Station. Aeon mall nearby. Tourist Information counter in station. Not crowded as the area is very big. A few car rental companies within short walk. We even can see fireworks from our room window on the 1st day of Summer Festival. Hotel staff helped to remove laundry from washer when guest didnt collect when done. Very new and nice looking hotel with comfortable beds and pillows. Did not manage to uae onsen. Free hot beverage available at lobby. Self check in and out at machine is easy and fuss free. Hotel staff are friendly.

There is no space to hang towels or clothes in the shower area. Would like to have more hanging space.

This was our second time staying here. Excellent location near the bus/train station and right on the pedestrian mall walk way. Easy walking distance to anything you need including a pharmacy with snacks/booze etc attached. Great breakfast and individual room wifi. Smart laundry so you can see if laundry is available on your room iPad. Covered parking is first come, first serve, in the lot attached to the hotel, $1000/24hr. There’s also an outdoor lot across the street for cheaper.

Rooms are small but this is typical for Japan. Also, the onsen doesn’t allow tattoos so if you have any tattoos, be prepared to be denied. This is traditional Japanese culture that has changed at some places, but not this one.

The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety, and we loved it. There were plenty of welcome drink options. The location is perfect, with a shopping mall and the famous Santouka Ramen just a short walk away. While there’s no private parking, the D-parking is connected to the hotel, so it was hassle-free. The reception staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, having our room cards ready before we arrived, making check-in lightning fast. Even when I requested a room change, they handled it promptly and willingly.

I requested a room cancellation for one of the room without charges a week before our trip, but the hotel hasn’t responded, even though the booking platform assisted with submitting the request.

This hotel was a great find, we loved it. Right in the heart of town close to the train station, super-clean, good size rooms and a big reception area with huge tables to meet up with friends for a drink, or even to eat take-away meals. Bonus of a parking garage (1000 yen a day) adjoining the hotel with direct access into reception, making it very easy to get around to ski areas and local attractions. We will definitely use Amanek as a base for our next Central Hokkaido adventure.

The free hot chocolate/coffee machine wasn't working while we were there which was a shame, but not a disaster.

I enjoyed the central location, just across the road from the Aeon Mall and close to the train station and bus stops for the airport and Kamui Ski-Links. A big thank you to the amazing hotel staff who were always happy to assist. Great value for money.

The pillows are somewhat interesting, not uncomfortable as such but one side is distinctly firm to the point where you can only really sleep on the other side! I'm sure there is a reason for this, but I didn't manage to find out while I was there. The room was on the small side, ok for one but not much space for two people.

Excellent business hotel just a short walk from the Asahikawa JR station. We especially liked the amazing location, the free soft drinks and the spacious common area in the lobby where you can microwave and eat your own meal if you want, the excellent onsen with an outdoor area, and the great value for money.

The hotel seems to be especially well-liked by tourists from a certain other East Asian country who sometimes have difficulty following the rules of the onsen (in our case, loudly playing on their phone). Of course this is not the hotel's fault – there are only so many signs they can put up 🤷‍♂️

Excellent location as it's very closed to the JR station. Rooms were still in good condition. (We once stayed here 2 years ago.) I love the room control on the tablet which was very convenient (we could change the menu language to English) and we were able to turn on the air cond from the tablet. Despite the excellent location, the hotel was reasonably priced. There were everything we need and will definitely stay here again if we go to Asahikawa.

Check-in process was a bit complicated as we made 3 bookings (total 4 rooms) and I wasn't able to check in all 3 bookings at the same time. Booking with 2 rooms needed to be checked in with the staff but bookings with 1 room must be checked in at the machine.
