This was the second location of Dormy Inn I've stayed at. This was similar. They are generally an insane value. It was priced extremely well, considering that onsen is included, as well as a full breakfast buffet. The hotel staff was very accommodating and even let me store my bicycle in the lobby, instead of outside, which was very nice. It's very much a chain, so this isn't the place if you're looking for a personal touch, but the hotel had plenty of staff to expedite check-in for everyone and they were very attentive. It's a very well-run chain. I would stay in any of these hotels again - largely because in my experience, the value is hard to beat - the onsen and breakfast for less than the price of a lot of hotels that have neither of these things.

One of the best accommodations in Japan. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Requesting cleaning, towel change and do not disturb is one of their best systems. The sento is great with options, inside and outside rooftop sections, with free ice creams any popsicle, just outside. The staff is insanely helpful, I left my card in my room and they just helped with no charge and I left my luggage with them early and they moved it to my room for me. Plus, just across the street is the bus that goes right to the airport. The stop is before Asahikawa Station and you are garunteed a good seat when you have to fly out

The shower head does not face you. You can't take a comfortable shower. You always have to hold the shower head. This might be an issue with room 914 only. Otherwise, it's just bad design.

Location was excellent. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, convenience store is across the street. You can also walk to the JR Asahikawa station, about 15 min walk. Some ski areas are within about 30min drive from the property. Onsen at the top floor is super relaxing.

We did not eat breakfast at the property. It seemed like the breakfast buffet was not as good as the other Dormy Inns in larger cities such as Tokyo and Kyoto. I guess Asahikawa is not as big as those cities, so fewer people, fewer selections.

We absolutely loved this property, the amenities, including the Ramen in the evening between 9:30 pm and 11 and the phenomenal breakfast which included all you can eat salmon. Row was extraordinary and we will never forget it. Also we loved the Onsen spa and the staff was wonderful and accommodating, except for giving us an extra hour for check out after a very late check-in

When we arrived we got there at almost midnight at checkout. We asked for an extra hour and they wanted to charge us the same price as an overnight which we thought was ridiculous. Also it said that the parking was free, but when we arrived it was 1500 a day.

Clean and comfortable, large dedicated and convenient parking for 1000Y/day , front desk staffs conversational in english, free coffee, supper ramen, ice-cream.

No room service for 3 nights stay. Laundry facilities located inside bath area which is separated btw men and women (we couldn’t find it at first).

The hotel located just opposite 7-11 which was really convenience and also really close to restaurants and many izakaya places which was really convenience. Parking cost ¥1000 a night but is really convenience.

Overall the place is really nice and convenience. The receptions were really helpful but need to improve on english communication with foreigner guests

Standard hotel room, not huge, but helpful staff and lovely Japanese-style baths on the top floor with free washing machines so that you could wash your clothes while using the bath. Only Y100 for the tumble drier too. Free ice cream freezer outside the baths, and free noodles in the restaurant from 9p.m.

We had a bit of trouble actually finding the hotel about a 10-15 minute walk from the station, but that was mainly because we were confused by the street numbering system in Asahikawa.

Kind staff, very good bath. Free ramen at night (did not try though). Free coffee at reception. No extra charge for our delayed morning return to pack& checkout, but instead staff nicely gathered our belongings - great thanks!

Very good room. Excellent facilities with onsen at the last floor and a lot of amenities such as free ice cream and midnight ramen. Breakfast with a good variety of dishes. Staff very nice and helpful, they forwarded my luggage to the next hotel for me. The bus to Asahi-dake is just in front of the hotel.

Dormy Inn has been a great value for money with the freebies they provide (public onsen availability, ice cream after onsen, probiotic drink, and free ramen supper), highly recommended to stay.

The location is a little far (10 mins walk to Asahikawa JR train station).
