Location was stupid close to the Asahikawa winter festival. It was walking distance to the main commercial street that goes to the train station. There isn't much more i wanted to see that this accommodation was a limiting factor.

The gas heater. It didn't make me feel safe given i haven't used one before and there aren't very many where i'm from. I was really glad the wall ventilator also offered heat unlike the one i have at home. Gas leaks are a serious health concern. I'm very cognizant of other cultures and energy situations. Asahikawa gets cold, gas is cheap, burning it solves the immediate cold problem. My issue is using it safely. You should vent the room periodically when using a gas heater, my main issues is simply not really knowing how to safely use it. You know screwing up is just monoxide poisoning, fun times in one's sleep destination.

Very good price. A nice room with a comfortable double bed. Great buffet breakfast in the morning time. Free parking space for my car. The walk to the city centre is fully lit up with lovely winter lights.

The room was clean and nice though it looked a bit old from outside. The parking was free!!! (apparently even expensive hotels in this city will charge you for parking). The staff were very helpful. We had to cancel the second day because of the change of plans and they did it for free even with a short notice on the same day. Beautiful park just beside the hotel

Location with a car was great. We had one tatami room - very comfortable and one regular room - also comfortable. The bedding was nice and easy to set up in the tatami room. The staff was very helpful and check in at self help computer station very efficient. Its calm and quiet there. The value for money was the best we encountered on Hokkaido.

No translation on hot water dispenser - but with google translate it worked out. Would be helpful as many non Japanese staying there too.

The rooms were really nice and homey. Had a desk and baskets ect.. really felt like you were coming home. A bit far from the station bus stops right outside. If you're staying for the snow festival it's perfect, you can see them building the snow structures.

Building needs some tlc

Great location, 2 minutes from the bus station, which takes 4 stops to the main train station (about 10 minutes). Also a few minutes away from the beautiful Tokiwa Park. The room was clean and cool (the AC was on when we arrived) and had everything we needed: towels, hair dryer, soap and shampoo. We stayed in the futon room and we loved it. We will definitely come here again if we have the chance.

We arrived at the hotel at 11 a.m. because the message said we could check in our luggage starting 10 a.m., but there was no one there. In the end we just left them at the reception until we came back later and there was no problem.

Only a kettle and microwave for cooking facilities. The toilet and shower room was small. Also the shower leaked but the staff fixed the issue when made aware within 30 minutes.

I like everything about Tabist Diversity Hotel! Despite having stayed only one night, me and my boyfriend liked the atmosphere very much and the staff was super cool with us giving a free drink from the hostel bar. The private room is standard size and very cozy, the bed is better than that of our house haha. The living room has a great space for cooking with all the kitchen utensils. They though in every little things, even the toilet has a great fragrance, and also some tampons in the women 🚺 toilet. The hostel is close to the Otaru canal and gives Otaru station, close to konbini and a pizzeria as well. Anyway, great location! I would recommend this hostel for everyone who need a stay in Otaru (which was the best city we visited in Hokkaido). It worth the price (was cheap at the time) but even if they make an adjustment in the future, it would still be worth it, my opinion.

Nice location next to some beautiful areas to walk around, and just a couple of bus stops away from the main station. The room is simple but has everything you might need, and there's a microwave, plates and glasses available to use just a couple of steps away.
