Location and Room
Check-in was made by someone that didn't speak English. Only after dinner we have got a recepcionist that were very Nice. Internet very good.

just outside hamamatsu station quite clean, allowed us to check in at 12:30 am accidentally ordered the smoking room but it turned out ok (there was a deo spray in the room and air ventilator. after opening the windows and letting the air circulate the smell was not a problem

The hotel is only a short walk from the station, which is great, and from the hotel it's very easy to catch a taxi or a bus to other locations that are worth visiting. As always in Japan, the staff was very polite and helpful.
The quality of the room and the amenities and toiletries left some to be desired. The amenities provided in the room weren't what I'm used to in Japan, but the hotel does provide extra amenities for free in the hotel lobby. The bedsheets were extremely hot, making the stay a very sweaty experience and the air-conditioning didn't actually cool. I imagine the people before me have sweat more or less the same because of it, which doesn't make me feel particularly comfortable about cleanliness of the mattress I was sleeping on.
