Excellent location, great layout for our family. Easy check in and the girls at the front desk were super helpful during our stay. Other reviews complained about not being able to turn off lights… while there are a lot of switches, they definitely all turn off including under bed strip.

It was too humid for our easy-dry clothes to dry in 3 days, and I wish we had more pillows. My neck really hurt after 3 days. Also, while we appreciate the jammies, coffee is generally a standard offer in all hotels and would have been appreciated to start the morning in our room.

The Japanese room was excellent: extremely roomy, beautifully designed (especially the lighting!), and well equipped (washing machine, forks and spoons, kettle)! The location is pretty decent: nothing exciting, but very much within walking distance of where things happen and from the train station. The house manual even explains, in english, how to use the machine. We arrived before check-in, and the staff put our luggage on a cart. When we checked in, the luggage was already in our room! The experience is overall really well thought out.

Nothing major: it would have been nice to have more staff that are comfortable with English. And it's a shame there was no onsen on the top floor: with a view to Sakurajima, it could be a huge hit!

Very spacious and clean, well designed rooms (Japanese modern) for a city stay with all the facilities we needed to make us comfortable - washing machine within the room, sitting area, good sized tub, portable vacuum, they thought of almost everything! Location is great right between Kagoshima chuo station and tenmonkan shopping area which are walking distance/ a couple of city tram stops away.

Check in process for larger family groups could be easier. Thankfully a staff was there to help us or we would have been stuck at the self service terminal for a while. Nearest coin parking has limited lots and gets full quickly on some days.

The room was very spacious and equiped with a lot of convenient things (microwave, fridge, washing machine etc.). Bathroom was also comfortable with a good water pressure. Beds were big and soft. Breakfast was tast and you could choose a lot of things.

The room could have been a little bit more cleaner, we found an old sock on the floor. Although the room was very spacious and comfortable, we struggled with operating the light switchs and the washing machine. Maybe some instructions (in English) would be nice. Location of the hotel is okay, but not in a central place in the city (it is close to the train station though). During our stay the alarm went of in the early morning and a loud japanese voice was saying some things. We rushed downstairs and it happened to be the alarm for earthquakes, but nothing was said in English. If you want foreigners to come down during an actual earthquake it is essential that they know what is happening, this could be dangerous otherwise.

The accommodation was up to standard, and the service staff were helpful. It was different than anticipated, and once we got into the swing of things, we found it easy to navigate, and the cost savings in how things were run were to our benefit. The beds were exceptionally comfortable.

Initially, we found the room key arrangement challenging (there is no key—one gets into one's room by way of a code for your room). Unless specifically requested, there is no room service. I am not suggesting that these were matters that we did not like; instead, they differed from the norm, and we had to familiarise ourselves with the arrangement.

Very new, exceptionally well appointed and spotlessly clean. We had everything we could possibly want. The staff were absolutely amazing. They were so incredibly helpful. We wanted to book the Samurai Experience at Sengan-En, but could do it online, as there were issues with the translated pages. We requested assistance, and staff went out of their way to coordinate bookings for us. It was a group present for wedding anniversary, as well as three birthdays in close proximity. This raised our trip from great, to truly spectacular. Thank you so much.

There was nothing we could possibly think of.

We got what felt like an extremely good deal with our room which seemed to easily be able to go for double what we paid. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed.

If anything at all, the bathroom was more of a Japanese style where the entire room is the wet area and you shower outside the bathtub to then get into the bath, which isn't what we're used to. This isn't necessarily a bad thing though.

Large comfortable and clean room with lovely view. Modern design. Quiet at night. Well equipped kitchenette and having a washing machine was useful too. Quick walk from the main station. Friendly staff. Easy check-in and checkout.

Some teabags in the room would be useful. No storage space for clothes aside from some coat hangers. Also, some of the staff spoke no English but we managed. I'm not sure it was really 35 square metres as claimed on Booking.

First, the room was the largest we’ve had so far in Japan. It was spacious, super comfortable, had a great view of Sakurajima and even had a washer/dryer which was appreciated. The staff was super helpful securing parking (note: reserve in advance as parking on site is limited) and with the complimentary breakfast (which was also lovely). Finally, it’s location was convenient: about a 10-minute walk to the train station and It was around the corner from our favorite izikaya, Gaoryu, where we ate twice because the seafood and sashimi is amazing as is their speciality fried daikon (yum!) and fried pork plus the owner “Mother” and her son make the place fun.
