This is a newly renovated Japanese style hotel. It is a ski-in ski-out hotel near one of the Tsugaike Kogen slopes, you can literally slide to the door of the hotel. Rooms are big enough and clean with good facilities. They do have a big ski gear room to leave and dry your ski gear after a long day. Foods are awesome, especially its bakery, you have to try them!! Their hotel manager Nick is a super helpful guy who provides answers timely to my many many questions related to ski or others. Other hotel staff are nice too who all speak fluent English. I stayed there for more than a week and I will definitely come back again.

None.

ski in/out location was fantastic. apartment located next to a wide green run- you put skis on in their ski room, walk up the steps to get outside, and ski right down to the ticket booth to get your lift ticket; couldn't be better. Car parking was just behind the building. Spacious rooms, excellent/ very comfortable bedding with thick doonas. Great stovetop induction cooking (with a fab little rice cooker pot). Excellent wifi. Netflix on the huge TV. Accommodating and friendly staff members: helped fix heater; brought us breakfast on a tray into the apartment because we did not want to eat in the common area (to reduce risk of covid); gave us big rubbish bags to avoid them going into our apartment daily; microwaved food for us; and incredibly, hosed/ cleared the snow off our car. Staff were very hospitable without being intrusive.

Being right next to the ski run meant there was noise from snow grooming machine as early as 5am, (which we expected), and on one night, it was loud between 1am and 5.30am (which was bearable because of the comfort of the bed). The couch was uncomfortable to sit on. There was no mirror other than the one in the bathroom, no toaster or microwave in apartment.

This is a ski in/out accommodation. The place is beautiful and well maintained, staffs are very friendly, kind and helpful. The breakfast is simple but nice, serving something different every morning. Breakfast is served in a cafeteria with a view of the ski slope. The rooms are very spacious but the toilet so tiny that my legs are touching the door when seated down on the toilet bowl. There is a game room downstairs with a pool table, darts and game machine. Overall, we love this accommodation. It is peaceful, it is modern yet retaining some traditional feel of a Japanese house. We will love to be back next season :D

Couple of things which we feel can be improved are that the dryer room does not function. Our ski gloves and helmets were still damp the next morning. We have informed the staff several times but seems like nothing can be fixed. Second, this accommodation charges for parking on-site. It has several parking lots but we were charged per night. Would be nice if parking can be offered free to guest. Location is also a distance away from the centre of the ski village. It is a challenge to walk back from the restaurants and convenient stores as the accommodation sits at mid-slope.

A prime positioned ski inn ski out resort that is modern, clean and most importantly staff that go above and beyond to make your stay effortless and enjoyable. These included services such as booking dinners on our behalf, arranging transport to and from stays and dinner outings, and pre-empting any services we would need. In particular Windy and Kam were amazing with their excellent hospitality. The rooms were very clean, beds and pillows were comfortable. A games room with pool table arcade games provided entertainment when not out on the slopes.

Bathroom is rather tiny but not an issue. It would be great to have an all day cafe/reataurant (even though staff were happy to make coffees when requested!) or a bit more on the menu.

The room was large and comfortable - everything was clean and newly renovated. The staff were super friendly, helpful and hospitable.

The hotel is located fairly far up the hill, but still has ski in/out access. Breakfast could have been more substantial.

Six stars for the staff. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. I looked forward to chatting with them upon return from our ski adventures each day. Nick's assistance with restaurant reservations took away so much stress for us! Lots of places require calling on the phone and my Japanese is just not up to par for that. The hotel ambiance is lovely and the views to the ski slope from the dining area are wonderful. We had lots of room in our room and all of the little nice touches were appreciated (I now have to find roasted rice tea back home because it was so great). The drying rack in the room was a welcome necessity as we had a lot of wet gear every single day. The laundry machines were convenient and easy. The bathroom was a bit smaller than expected, but it didn't bother us. The snow had turned to mush and ponds after all the rain and the staff did an excellent job keeping the parking lot safe and accessible under the circumstances.

The window shade was not totally blackout and there's a light on the HVAC units that is pretty bright. I taped some paper over it and it didn't bother me after that. The hotel is kept pretty cool, so I'd plan to bundle up, even while inside. I wish coffee drinks (espresso, cappuccino, etc.) had been available with breakfast. I understand they are labor intensive and there was just one person managing cooking and serving of breakfast each day. I did just fine with drip coffee but I was staring longingly at that fancy espresso machine I'd heard so much about!

Windy and Nick were so helpful with renting equipment, transportation (Nick even drove us to Matsumoto Station when we weren’t able to get a van pick up). The rooms were nice and comfortable, and the chefs at breakfast were so understanding when they found out my husband was gluten intolerant. Our boys enjoyed the game room playing pool and video games. And I think we bought half the items in the vending machine. We would definitely go back, it’s a peaceful retreat and a ski in/ski out boutique hotel. We even saw a Tanuki that was injured and had mange, which the hotel staff compassionately feeds if possible.

The rooms could benefit from a bit more sound insulation. The stairs to the rooms are rather steep with no handrails. There are paid washers and dryers, but the dryer wasn’t too successful with really wet clothes (since our boys soaked their socks and pants playing in the snow, everyday).

Hakuba Ski Inn is located towards the top of the green ski run. It is truly ski in & ski out, yet you can still walk down to the Village for the restaurant’s & bars. Windy & her team are very welcoming & made the stay so enjoyable. The breakfast’s were fantastic & great coffee too (even Oat Milk), although that wasn’t available in the morning. We can’t wait to come back!

Transportation is not that easy but Windy & the team are extremely helpful with arranging transportation & even driving guests themselves if there are no available options. Barista Coffee only available after 10am in the morning. With such good coffee it would be so nice with breakfast!

Great location for powder hounds! 10 footsteps away from all the slopes and access at tsugaike and 9 min away from cortina. Clean, classy and spacious rooms and staff was very accommodating for different room requests! Drying room was super nice for all of our wet gear and the self serve washer and dryer were very convenient. Breakfast is minimalist, but delicious! Definitely get there early for the croissants. Thank you for a great holiday; will definitely come back again!

Everything provided by the property is perfect. The staff is extrememly nice and tries very hard to accommodate all of your needs. The breakfast is outstanding. My family enjoyed the game room even though the tables aren't exactlly level... it made it more balanced between the kids and parents.

It is a little pricey but I still feel the experience is worth it. I wish they had food options for lunch (they did last year) and more options for dinner.
