It's a lovely place, run by people who care. The food was excellent. Each meal was different for 3 nights, then repeats. Not sure if the bath was actual hot spring water, but it was constantly running. If it is, it's cool in that a couple could get in the bath together - and be private. The shower space is spacious.

Room walls were thin. Neighbors talking kept us up one night. No toilet in the room. No shower in the room. No wifi downstairs. I'm not sure how this place would work without a car. The beds and pillows were not comfy. The carpets are old and look not-so-clean, even if they were. There are only 2 bath rooms. It's possible your schedule would get messed up if others are using when you want to. Same with toilets.

Love the Guesthouse, especially the delicious dinner and breakfast... Bath and Onsen is most enjoyable. The Guesthouse is in a forest park with beautiful autumn foliage, especially the ponds when driving in and out...

Could have more amenities provided in the room like kettle, cups etc... Need to request or get from the dining room according to time schedule.

I like the place, very homy and hospitality of the owner couple. Dinner is delicious. Breakfast is nice even not much for those who ordinarily take large breakfast.

Rooms a little small

A pleasant traditional ski lodge feel. Rooms are small, but adequate and the facilities are spotless. Breakfast and dinner were tasty. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The pension should provide bath towels for its guests. Drying off with a hand towel sfter a shower is not acceptable for the price paid.

Clean and reasonable meals.

No proper shower towel, only provided with small towel like the one use in an onsen. Other than the bed, TV and aircon, no other facilities in the room, no cup and kettle. Also no drinking water dispenser outside the room and need to ask for water from the owner. We brought a bottle of wine for dinner but they didn't allow us to drink in the dinning area and asked that we consume it in our room.
