What can I say except this is the best hostel in all of Japan. I have stayed in many cities in hostels and traveled and even lived in Japan and this is one of the best places… it’s a cabin style( not a capsule), an accordion door with a bed, amazing comforter and sheets, the bed is really comfortable. I have bad hips and I sleep so well. Great lighting with dimmers, lots of electrical outlets, hangers with places to hang things. Bathrooms are always spotless. Showers are always spotless ….but most important of all is the staff! They are amazing. They’re always kind, helpful, respectful. A huge kitchen and a real community feel. Lots of activities to join in. They will help you with anything you need. It’s always my favorite place to come when I arrive in Japan.

I stay at the hostel, in a individial cabin for around 12 days in March 2025. I had a good time at the hostel Tha place is pleasant, very clean and well maintained and it is really confortable. The common area is big, with many places to relax and hang aroud. The staff is really helpful and friendly. All my questions and requests were wuickly answered. i find the bed confortable. People would often consider the "faraway" location (far from central Tokyo) a setback, but actually, it was really good to take the train and get a bit far from the insanely crowded areas of the city, and zone out and relax a little bit in the many days I stayed in Japan. It was definetly a good choice and I have no regrets at all of choosing to stay at the Wild Cherry Hostel. I loved the beatiful paintind at the entrance floor (1F) by Utagawa Hiroshige. The laundry facilities inside the hostel are really nice and helpful. The Musashi-Koganei area is really good and has many good options to hang around and take relaxed walk and enjoy suburban Tokyo and food with nice places without the crazy lines you usually find in central Tokyo.. I highly recommend the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum. Very interesting place.

One night, the cabin was quite hot (the heater was overpowering) , but a kind request to the reception desk solved the situation.

everything this is one of the best hostels in all of Japan. I love having my own room. It’s truly a cabin room where you can stand, and there is an accordion door, luggage rack, hangers, side table really comfortable futon mattress on a tatami raised frame but it’s as high as a western style bed, really nice sheets and comforters and pillows but most important is the staff. They are really amazing. I did a really fun day walk with them to a festival and they also do bike tours and day tours so it was just really amazing very clean and a really nice, huge kitchen and community area.

Everything was very clean and the staff was very nice! They even recommended me what i could do in tama region or where i can find halal food. They have a prayer room, laundry and kitchen. I was in a woman room. I didn't hear or see often mine room mates. But if you are a light sleeper then you need definitely ohropax. Btw the pillow was great! The cabine was big enough for me, i relaxed often in mine cabine. I even cancelled mine other bookings and booked this hotel again :) definitely recommended!

Nothing - everything was good! Just some suggestions: Maybe it is possible to adjust the door closing? So that it makes lesser noise. And a mirrow in the hallway would be great!

Japanese style Tatami carpet room for 3 persons. The room size is wide enough with a window. There is a free space for eating and drinking on the second floor. Even the rest rooms and shower rooms are common equipment out of guest rooms, there were not many guests using at the same time in this season. We could enjoy staying with comfort and convenience.

Some guests used the toilet and bath room without enough care and courtesy to other guests until the facilities got very messy and dirty.

The staff are so lovely. I enjoyed the view of the town from our 6th floor window, and enjoyed walking around and exploring the area as it is very peaceful and beautiful. Our group spent a lot of time in the lobby dining area as it was comfortable and suitable for our needs. We had a great time chatting, assembling gashapon and feasting on our grocery haul from the nearby mall until we went to bed around midnight. There are many board games and kitchen supplies available. The room and futons were clean, quiet and comfortable, and the private bathroom and sink was convenient.

I only stayed one night :(

10mins walk from station, with convenience shops and restaurants around. One day I went to Shinjuku from this hotel by train, only took me about 30mins, honestly the price is fair enough. Have to say it surprised me when I spread out my 29-inch suitcase inside the room, the room space is totally big enough for it.

Can’t pay for overtime stay, it was a little pity for me, last day here packed my stuff in a rush. BTW the bathrooms are too small, and you have to bring a bag to bring clean clothes into bathroom, otherwise would have to put them with those you take off

Staff were so lovely. Everything was very clean. If you like the idea of a hostel dorm with the privacy of a capsule, then this is the perfect place. Amenities well stocked and the surrounding neighbourhood has everything you need. The common room and kitchen is so clean. Laundry available and just overall, a great place if you are on a budget and don't mind sharing facilities.

Other than not really being able to temperature control your own cabin (I feel the heat a lot- so thats a me problem), there was nothing else I would complain about!

Very clean, surprisingly cozy rooms and bed, also the noise wasn’t too bad either! Great and friendly staff. The lounge was nice to hang out in and do work.

The shower doesn’t have anywhere to put your toiletries. I think a shelf or something would be nice to set some stuff. The changing sheets protocol is a bit confusing. It says to not put the sign on door if you don’t want the sheets changed so on the day I wanted sheets changed I didn’t put it on the door but they said cuz I didn’t have it on my door they didn’t change the sheets.

everything about this hostel is wonderful the sheets, the pillows, the bed, the rooms, the bathroom, showers towels with the staff the community room the tours the staff give it’s a suburb in Tokyo, a real family atmosphere close to the station. Everything is just right there. Great food I just love everything about this hostile whenever I go to Tokyo, I always stay here. There’s a direct bus From Haneda Airport right to the station or you can take the trains too.
