We stayed in a japanese style room. We liked the mattress and futon set, they were excellent, (so comfortable!) and we had very good sleep here. The rooms were also quiet and warm and it was very suitable for our family of 5. We came with friends (another family of 5) and they enjoyed their family room very much as well. Their room was situated off a little outdoor courtyard and I can imagine it would be very nice to sit outside in warmer weather! The breakfast was simple but very satisfying with toast, coffee, a boiled egg and drinks. Our children enjoyed it very much. The lady manning the breakfast was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed talking to her. There was ample parking space and it is also situated very close to the train station.

We arrived very late (later than we expected) and the staff was very understanding and helpful in checking us in but it was a little confusing talking through the phone. As the B&B is split over 2 buildings, it was a little confusing which rooms were ours at first. But if we had arrived earlier talking to someone in person would have been better. There was a private toilet and bath attached to the room and while it is all clean and very good, the toilet did not have a heated seat and that was tough in the morning! It was also a little cramped for a family of 5 but these are just small comments. We would love to come back here again!

What an amazing place. Tiny and comfortable and cozy beds, with good sized rooms and a good aesthetic and super clean. The grandma who runs the place is chatty and super kind. Free breakfast (although its kinda basic) and free drink for anyone who's there. Literally one minute walking from the train station. Owner is also super nice.

Although I am comfortable with the stay overall, the walls are a bit thin and the morning sees a flurry of cars to the station so it could get a bit noisy for ultra-light sleepers. And the microwave was in a really bad condition when i had opened it, not sure if it was a one-off but I couldn't use it at that time.

Super value for money especially for long term stay. The facilities are all super new and cleaned regularly. The staffs are also very welcoming and ready to help. The manager even drove me personally to a local hospital when I fell sick. Also, they provide free breakfast!!

Takes around 30 min by train to reach Kanazawa and the train waiting times are a bit long. But it’s not a big problem if you plan properly.

Close to the station. Very clean with private bathroom. There was a small TV that you could watch Netflix or Prime on. There was a microwave, sink, kettle in your room. Plus you could access the kitchen in the B&B to cook if you wanted. There was also a simple breakfast available on the morning. Good value for money overall. There’s also a very cute bar that is attached!

The only thing I’d say is some other choices for breakfast. Maybe granola and small yogurts for people who can’t eat wheat.

I loved it! It is an almost tiny apartment for yourself, very well equipped and the owner is very nice!

I liked it a lot! If I have to mention one thing is that it can be a bit noisy when its windy outside. But other than that it was all amazing!

Quiet neighbourhood, fantastic reaction by the staff and they were so kind to let me check in earlier even though it was only 11am-ish.

There really is nothing to explore around the town, even though I had wanted to explore a quieter part of Kanazawa. Really good as a pit stop before heading into Kanazawa though.

At the smallest room size, it was very cosy, warm, clean facilities and a nice comfortable bed with proper pillows. Instead of the flat ones you get at business hotels. An immaculate view in a proper Japanese setting, nice and curious staff.

No tv in the smallest room, but it wasn't a dislike as I had prepared my content on other devices.

Very good host and staff. Were very helpful when we had a tranportation issue. Very close to the train station so easy tomget thentrain into Kanazawa. The local restaurants are good and friendly.

There isnt much to do in the town itself and the beach is really full of plastic and debris.

Lovely friendly staff, very comfortable rooms & own bathrooms; a big shared kitchen & dining area & a bonus of breakfast being provided. We had a car & set places we needed to go + limited time there so we are not actually sure about location to other things but it was right near a train station =always great!!! There was also car parking

The location was a little outskirt, but the owners were kind. I was a little late off the check-in time the first day, they drove me to the supermarket and got my lunch and dinner sorted out. Also, as I was planning my trip to Shirakawa-go, I missed the bus on the first day due to snowstorms and delayed trains, the staff was kind enough to book another bus ticket for me to go on my trip! The place itself was lovely, with good heating system. Do not worry about language issues or miscommunication, the owners and staff have the ever-ready translator gadget to help you whenever you need it! Thank you so much to the owner for lending me, and gifting me the snow shoes as I was going to the world heritage site - Shirakawa-go and Gasscho village with just standard sneakers at first! Great hospitality and friendly people all around. Reminds me of the courteous countryside people of the U.S. Hope to be able to visit again someday!
