The location was good being very close to the station. There weren’t so many places to eat open during O-bon that were close to the hotel. The room had everything you needed and there were plenty of supplies. The robes provided were better than at other hotels. The plugs were not overly distant and not overly loose. Having breakfast was good although the space was pretty small and you need to get an explanation of the system. For non-Japanese there are a lot of English explanations of their rules and etiquette. Check out is very easy. They stored our luggage before we checked in even though the system to do so involving getting set up for a QR code on your phone. Only one small elevator and one room key given. But everything worked. A Japanese breakfast was included.

Things were a little cramped, or as they put it, better for the environment. I know that many places use the kind of faucets with the switch for the shower for space and efficiency reasons, but I personally am not crazy about that. It speaks to being more of a bare bones system - they don’t service the rooms until the third day but you can get fresh towels and robes and you can ask for specific supplies if you need them. You’re only given one key which has to go into the slot for providing power to the room. That ensures that you don’t use power while you’re not in the room but is inconvenient with two people in the room who are not always on the same schedule. But these are all minor inconveniences.

Staff are welcoming and polite. The room was clean and well-equipped. The bed was comfortable. This hotel is convenient if you like to visit multiple cities in Tohoku from this location. I travelled to Yamagata, Iwate, and Miyagi.

Free breakfast included a few items, and the dining area had a few seats. There was a 15-minute waiting line in the morning. The curry was delicious.

Good value for the money. The breakfast was good, but make sure to go early otherwise most of the food can be gone before you arrive. The staff was helpful, the beds were comfortable. The hotel is close to the station, very convenient.

APA hotel chains are well known in Japan and a certain level of comfort is guaranteed. It is very reasonable price yet they have everything.

A bit more dust in dfficult to reach places, I guess it was due to the size of the rooms, it was a bit less clean than other places. But nothing alarming and way better than your average in Europe.

Compared to the price I have paid, the facilities were excellent.

The bed was uncomfortable. The side close to the bathroom was lower than the other side next to the bed. They need to turn the mattress.

The hotel offered a simple buffet-style Japanese breakfast, with bread available as well. It's a great option for a short and comfortable stay.

Beautifully modern, clean and warm hotel. (We visited Furukawa in mid-winter.) A cosy room with a small but lovely bathroom with an excellent shower. Comfortable beds. Nice big TV.
