The staff was incredibly friendly, with lots of patience for my limited Japanese, with a nice atmosphere the entire time. The room itself has everything you need to relax and prepare for the next day, so I would definitely stay here again ^^

I was looking for a hotel with convenient access to Matsushima at a reasonable price and availability. For that, this hotel is perfect as it's minutes away from Hon-Shiogama Station which itself is just 3 stations from Matsushimakaigan. The rooms are normal business hotel size and the one I had split the toilet area from the shower/sink area. The front desk staff was very kind and helpful and I enjoyed speaking with him. The building is modern and only several years old at the time of writing. The area around the hotel is a destination with the well-known French restaurant Chez Nous, top quality green tea at Yabeen, Shiogama Shrine, boats to Matsushima or the islands from Marine Gate Shiogama and more.

The hot water for the shower was very limited so I suggest quickly rinsing, turning it off to soap up and then rinsing again. The building faces east and gets hit with direct sun so at least in summer the temperature really starts to rise after 5am. Keep the aircon on set to 冷房 cool or it gets uncomfortable.

The whole hotel is decorated with so many paintings, the Japanese call it a 'picture hotel' There is a clothes line on the roof top where you can dry your clothes, a nice change from the machine. Staff are really friendly and kind. Between 10am and 3pm the front doors are locked but you can enter around the back.

It's a good place to stay, close to a Mall, a convenience store, and a train station. The staff is nice, the room is clean, very nice, and safe.

Aside from the water taking time to heat up, everything is wonderful.

The man at the front is very enthusiastic and will go out of his way to ensure you have a nice stay. The room and shower areas are very clean, the windows give a nice view and the food and train station are very close. Very quiet part of the city.

My only complaint is the hot water heater but there is a sign letting you know.

The building and decoration look a bit old A bit far from the restaurant's area, they are a few nearby but you'll need to walk a bit to get to most of them. Also, almost all restaurants and shops close very early in Shiogama, so you should go find one before 18h30-19h.

The owner was very friendly and showed me where all the facilities were. The hotel is right next to the train station so it was very convenient. The room was very comfortable.

Room is big enough and hotel close at train station. The staff (front door man) is very friendly and helpful.

Building is a little bit old

A no-frills hotel, excellent value for money for those who simply need a clean and comfortable place to spend the night. The hotel receptionist was incredibly friendly and very helpful when I asked about recommendations for the area.

it was so close to the station and great restaurants and beside the post office!
