The hotel is situated beside the coast facing the sea. All the rooms in this hotel are facing the sea, although do note that there is no lift in this one so you have to carry them up slowly up the stairs The staff was nice and friendly. Helped us with the check-in and provide a guide to the layout of the hotel. Since this building is the annex building, if you wish to go for their onsen, please note that you will need to walk over to their main building down the road. The staff will inform you on that as well.

Very Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Spacious ryokan style room with Ocean and Kamiiso tori gate view. Nice new and Clean. The hotel is small with only 10 rooms with no public bath but guess can use public bath at Oarai hotel which is only few minutes walks.

Breakfast is only exceptable. Not many restaurant to choose during the dinner time and you need a car to go to restaurant that open during that time.

The breakfast is good! The location of the hotel is very good, it very near to the shrine. I can see the beautiful pacific ocean and the shrine from my room, and when I open the window, I can hear the sound of the wave, I like it so much!

There is no lift, and we have to take the luggage up 2 floors. Also, we live in Japanese style room, and we have to setup the bed our self.

Our favorite place in Oarai! Right on the beach, with the ocean torii on one side, and the giant torii on the other. The nicest staff in the world-helpful, patient, funny, warm & friendly. Guests my use the onsen at the Oarai Hotel. Don't pass up the opportunity. The lobby has a Hawaiian theme. Oarai Annex Breakfast is our favorite meal in Oarai! Great quality and variety with another amazing view.

Best hotel room view for the price. All rooms have a view at the shrine, including the breakfast area. Good size room.

Sometimes a bit of noise from street cars. surprisingly the carpark at the front can fill up and parking down the street is required.

The location was fantastic, right next to the beach, you could see the sunrise directly from your room, or walk right up to the tori gate on the rocks as well. The breakfast provided far exceeded my expectations and was delicious. Great bang for your buck.

The hotel and hallways have a certain smell and look to them that are a bit off-putting. As well, there is no elevator so if you stay on any of the higher floors, be prepared to drag your suitcase up a few flights of stairs.

We had a wonderful stay. The place was beautiful, comfy and cosy. The view out of the room and at the dining area was an amazing view of the ocean. It was incredible to view the sunrise at the Torii which was just within 5 mins walk. The breakfast was very delicious too. We definitely recommend this place for people who want to rejuvenate themselves.

Do take note that there's no lift (elevator) in the building, only stairs. It's advisable to travel light when planning to stay over. For people with knee problems, it is better to write in to check with the hotel staff.

Unbeatable location close to the shrine. Waking up to watch the sunrise over the gate was amazing. We arrived a few hours before check in time and the hotel helped us keep our luggage. Super cute buffet breakfast with good variety.

very clean and staff very polite and supportive and helpful. I like the tatami very much and the whole set of things is ver amazing. and I have no idea how they can keep all the things as clean as new! the air con is very good and easy to adjust, just right at there! the bath water here is spring water I think since it’s blue. the breakfast is healthy with good tasting and view. all the room here can see the torii and the sea.

The staff is wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. They took great care of us. The view is AMAZING. The torii gates on the rock are right outside your window, and the entrance to the shrine is right across the street. Breakfast is the best ever.
