This Route Inn was easy walking distance from the train station. It was also easy walking distance to Ueda Castle, which was our reason for visiting this city. The hotel itself is very nice and clean. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed the public baths. We were impressed with their idea for "crowd control" at breakfast in the morning. We had to choose a time frame (we chose 6:30-7:00, I think) that we would enter the breakfast area. We have not been to other hotels that do this, but it seemed to work out very well. The breakfast buffet was good and we had several seating areas to choose from to enjoy our morning meal.

Location was perfectly in between Ueda station and the Ueda castle. Lots of shopping and food nearby. The Anniversary Beer Garden across the street is a lot of fun too. Room has a desk which is convenient for work. The price was stellar too.

Room was noisy. My neighbor was continually coughing and clearing their throat and I could hear it all. And the street can be noisy. Bed was a bit stiff and the bathroom wasn't perfectly clean: body hair in places when I first checked in.

The Onsen facilities were better than those in normal Route-Inns. The Reception and restaurant were superior too. Staff service was excellent. Location near the train station and bus terminal was great too.

good location and good breakfast

A great location in the Ueda Station area. The room has everything you need including a table for working at. Plenty of places to charge everything. It's a typical business hotel done very well. There's two restaurants downstairs - as I was late in, it was great to grab a bite inside the hotel.

Good convenience, good facilities. Proper bathroom.

The room light is white light and cannot be adjusted, so it was a little uncomfortable.

We loved breakfast, the location and it had plenty of parking.

We were out in the second floor at the end of the corridor over looking the pump system for the onsen. It was noisy and disturbed our sleep. The check in was laborious and long and we ended up with pieces of paper (breakfast with specified times, combination for the women’s onsen). There was only ONE washing machine in this vast hotel located in the women’s onsen! It was also the only hotel we’ve been in during our 5 week stay that didn’t provide washing powder.
