Very clean and spacious rooms. I really appreciate the pick up and drop off shuttle services from Iiyama and Yudanaka Stations. Great location next to Ryuoo Sky Park for skiing and snowboarding. Guests please message property if you would like to add dinner to your stay the night before check-in. The chefs need time to get groceries and prepare for dinner service (charged separately from room cost) They have one laundry machine for shared use.

My partner and I have enjoyed many hotels throughout the world. T Hotel Ryuoo has, without doubt, the most welcoming and competent front desk staff we've ever experienced. From Kanekuni's calm, assured managerial style, Charlie's perfect English demeanor and 'nothing-is-a-problem' attitude, Sugawara's smiling, energetic help and assistance

Friendly helpful staff, from the front desk to the wait staff and the shuttle crew everyone was great. The location was the best snowboarding right to the entrance of the hotel. The room was comfortable good facilities throughout. Breakfast was also great.

The dinner menu. Not much variety and a bit expensive for what was served. I ordered the lobster linguine and was given a plate of linguine with sauce, very little meat and an empty lobster shell. Was disappointed with that especially for the price. It tasted good but virtually no meat was a let down.

The room was spacious and clean. The chair lift was located within a short walking distance. Free lockers for ski equipment storage. Complimentary shuttle service to and from Iiyama Station (I did not use), as well as the one-time pick up and drop off service at Ryuoo Ski Park Information Centre.

The buffet breakfast was quite monotonous. We had the same food everyday for 8 mornings. Similarly the dinner menu was limited (not suitable for people with dietary restrictions) and did not change during my stay. It would have been helpful if the hotel had informed me prior to my arrival that it is located on the slope in the ski park and is only accessible by vehicles fitted with snow tracks. Our driver had difficulty locating the hotel, which caused some inconvenience.

The ski in ski out was great however unfortunately the lower slopes on this mountain are jam packed with beginners so it’s very dangerous. The staff were so helpful from carrying our bags through the snow to helping us translate when we needed medical assistance. It’s nice having a restaurant on site however you need to pre-book. HUGE thank you to Lucile at reception who was amazing, such an asset to the hotel!

Location - not recommended for travellers that don’t speak Japanese. There is also no medical assistance on the mountain.

The staff there was unbelievable. Charlie was a godsend, but honestly, the entire staff was amazingly good. They went well above and beyond for everything. Between arranging a free shuttle from the train station to a range in a driver to take us to the monkey park, they were incredibly helpful. Whenever we had a question, they always went above and beyond. We even had access to the next door onset, where they also have a discount for ski and snowboard rentals. The place is ski in and ski out, and our suite was huge with one of the best showers we have ever had. I have no idea why this is listed as a two star. Our dinner was fantastic and our daily breakfast that was included was full and healthy. We can’t say enough good things about this resort.

The staff were really really helpful with suggesting activities, helping with train booking, helping to book massages. They were the highlight for me, all very kind, patient and helpful!

The breakfast could have been a bit more extensive with asian & western options, and fresh prepared egg option. The a la carte dinner was also not great. While the teppanayki dinner was amazing!

The staff and services are exceptional! Gu san and Sugawara san went the extra mile to help us send our snowboards from hotel to airport and made sure that everything was in perfect order. The team is always responsive online to answer any enquiries so that our stay could be seamless! The room is very spacious and functional with an extended ski locker room attached to the hotel. We love it here :)

The restaurant is super nice. We just wish that there was a Japanese menu to make our holiday even more amazing!

The staff were all very polite and professional. From promptly answering my numerous queries prior to my arrival to going out of their way to provide the best service during our stay, my family and I felt very welcomed. The hotel’s location is just beside Ryuoo Ski Park. They cater shuttle buses to and fro Iiyama as well, which we utilised. Will definitely recommend this hotel!

Awesome location for the snow. It’s literally at the bottom of the runs. We had the presidential suite for family of 4 which did cost a bit but had awesome views and very spacious. The staff were supper friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much of an issue.

You need cash. There are no atms and things like the drink vending machines and local 7/11 don’t take credit cards.
