The location next to the ski lift - truly ski in ski out. There was a great little area for the children to play in that had a magic carpet (free, no lift pass required). The family room was tight but comfortable for the 4 of us, especially when we realised you can pull the bed away from the wall and widen the size of the single beds. The onsen was really nice and clean. In the female change room there were a number of washing machines, which I never had to line up for. The breakfast was good, and the room where it is served has the most amazing view of the snow. There is free parking, and the hotel will lend out ice scrapers and shovels to guests if you need.

The property needs an update. It looks really tired. As per the other reviews there is a lack of dining options onsite, and what is there is relatively expensive.

Great location with beautiful view from the window in our 5F room. Bed was huge and comfortable. Japanese bathroom just lovely. Staff very helpful. Free washer and drier if you want to do laundry. Basic vending machine selling drinks. Shuttle each night to Ichinose a good service.

The food options are effectively non-existent or too expensive. Breakfast buffet JPY 3500 and dinner JPY 8000 - way too expensive for a longer stay. Even in Ichinose the options were extremely limited on our trip in Jan/Feb 2023. Prince Hotel East should consider setting up a coffee shop/bar selling fast snack foods to provide better service to guests. This could be in the lobby which is otherwise under utilised and cold.

Ski field on your door step. Free shuttle bus to other ski fields and restaurants. Complimentary ski locker.

Beds and pillows hard as a rock. No decent cafes. Food in main buffet restaurant very expensive and not tasty. Rooms very small for family of 4.

Great location and ski in - Ski Out.

No Bar or casual area that you could sit in for a drink. Only area that was available was closed at 4:00pm then became a paying bar at 5:00pm at exorbitant prices. Not tailored to westerners otherwise the hotel was very nice.

Clean and comfortable ski in/out lodge accomodation. Really appreciated the cleanliness of the room, locker facilities for skis, onsen and variety from the buffet. Will definitely stay again.

Breakfast and dinner were great, location excellent and super convenient. Loved that you can rent all ski gear and store it in your locker. Onsen was nice.

More things to do at nighttime restaurant closes early and tv in the room didn’t have an English Channel but otherwise everything was great food choices was excellent and Delicious.

Ski in ski out

The slope (stairs when no snow) going up from the bus stop to the hotel was at times slippery and dangerous, and could have caused serious accidents/ injuries. The snow accumulated on the stairs could have been cleared

the ski lift is very close to the hotel. we ski the whole Yakebi area during our stay. Staff are helpful and facilities are more modern when compared to other traditional Japanese hotel.

Ski gear rental is a bit expensive when compared to other places. but quality are good.

Food was spectacular. We had two vegetarians in our party and they were very well catered for. (unlilke everywhere else we stayed in Japan)
