This three story home was so surprisingly delightful for a one star airbnb. From the first floor big kitchen and warm cafe area, to our top floor traditional room with views, we could feel the love and comfort invested in this special Okinawan building. We would love to live here!

We underestimated the services we would find here and wished we had booked for a longer stay. Comfort, style, bathrooms, amenties, wifi, public transport, cheap overnight parking, spacious and balcony views. Some might find the stairs difficult to climb, however, Kunki & E-Lin zipped our luggage up and down for us. We thought the futos were romantic. The hosts made the most amazing traditional breakfast. Elly catered a map for our jazz obsessions and generally they were respectful with our time, comfort and space.

Wonderful little place 10 to 15 minutes walk to the monorail and bus terminal. There are 4 rooms in a traditional Okinawan house. The first floor has a kitchen and dining area, which is both charming and comfortable. The tables are made from antique sewing machines. The second floor has 2 rooms with western beds and the third has 2 Japanese style rooms. The hosts, Ellie and Kunki, are friendly and welcoming. Both are karate masters. The breakfasts were creative and delicious, many of the items created by Kunki. He also roasts his own coffee, which was superb. We stayed two nights and would have preferred more. The house is a bit tricky to find. If you're arriving after dark, it may be wise to get specific directions from Ellie beforehand.

I simply loved my stay at La Passione, and I would like to return, and explore more of Okinawa and enjoy Elly and Kunki's warm hospitality again. You can feel, that they both have a genuine interest in making you feel comfortable and relaxed. And the breakfast is simply faboulous! Kunki is a masterchef, he makes everything from scratch, and I got different delicious well composed arrangements every morning. Please, do yourself a favour and order breakfast - you will not regret it! La Passione is a very precious little gem, that Elly and Kunki deserve entirely.

Elly & Kunki made us feel so very welcome from the moment we arrived until the time we left. They are a lovely, kind generous couple who were happy to help us in every way. Their b&b is beautiful. Super clean, calm and organised. Our room was great & the beds were very comfortable. Kunki cooked us breakfast each morning, you MUST try these. He is a wonderful cook & the breakfasts were AMAZING! 🤩

It was a wonderful stay. This B&B is located in a calm area and is also very convenient for accessing various local markets, International Street, and more. A convenience store is located right across from the B&B. What’s more, the hospitality of Elly and Kunki is truly heartfelt and always accompanied by a smile. I highly recommend experiencing their breakfast! The dishes are thoughtfully prepared, and the coffee is excellent.

Overall the experience at this accommodation exceeded our expectations. It was slightly out of season (November) and we had the whole flat to ourselves during the night. The lady who took care of us was very attentive, we had a very good conversation, and the breakfast was hearty and delicious. The dining room is tastefully decorated, with tables made of antique sawing machines. The location was a walking distance from the main street (Kokusai dori).

Charming and spotlessly clean bed and breakfast. There's a convenience store across the street and multiple places to eat close by. The accommodation has an eating area for guests. We were welcome to use the kitchen's filtered water dispenser and kettle and microwave. There was also a mini fridge in our room. Elly san and Kunki san are lovely people and very helpful. The breakfasts were delicious too.

Love the decorations in the property and traditional Okinawan tatami. Elly and Kunki are the best host ever, their warmth and smile melt my heart and made me feel like I was at home. Kunki is one of the most talented chef I have ever known. Keep up the great work 👍

Wish I could spend more time here.

Both Elly and Kunki were some of the nicest people I've ever met. They helped me work through any problem I had during my trip and went above and beyond to make me feel at home. They often provided me with coffee and snacks in the afternoon when I would come home to rest and gave me many great reccomendations on how to best enjoy Naha. I really felt like they were my family, which was really important to me as a young solo traveller. The room was also spacious and clean, the balcony great for hanging bathing suits out to dry, and the rooftop perfect for enjoying a relaxing beer in the evening. It was so great I wish I could've stayed longer!!

I accidently somehow locked myself out of the room a couple times. Neither the owners nor I could figure out how it was happening but it was quickly resolved anyways. Make sure to always take your key with you just in case, even if you are just going to the bathroom or shower.

Elly and Kunki are wonderful, kind and friendly hosts who made me feel very much at home. They have renovated their house with great charm and style and I really enjoyed the western style room I stayed in, which was very comfortable and peaceful. I slept soundly and woke each morning to delicious breakfasts freshly cooked by Kunki, refreshing cold brew tea from Elly’s friend’s tea plantation in China,as well as super coffee. I felt thoroughly spoiled! Such lovely people and a super place to stay, I really recommend La Passione Boutique: thank you !
