Very quiet at night. Comfortable bed. Helpful staff. Good Japanese buffet breakfast. There is a very good supermarket about 5-8 minutes walk across the river behind the hotel that has everything so not limited to the Family Marts in the area. Microwave is available to heat purchased food. A coin laundromat is next to the supermarket.

Location is a little out of the way. There is a bus around the corner which goes to Nakatsugawa station for limited hours. Early morning taxi fare to station was 1500¥. No bottled water or water refill station.

Very easy to find and made a great base for exploring Magome. Our room faced the mountains and it was a beautiful view. Free parking was a plus, with plenty of options for konbini and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was included and of decent quality. Staff were friendly, and although the hotel was busy, we didn't hear any noise at all.

There was only one small pillow each which wasn't great for comfort.

Breakfast was free for all who stayed but the breakfast served, above my expectation, was varied, good and plentiful. I was happily surprised! From Nakatsugawa station, it was a 15 min taxi ride to hotel costing 1500 Yen. The hotel is next to a major highway and the pit stops were just infront of the hotel with restaurant, KFC and family mart. The view from room was good, especially at night. I could see the cars and trucks coming in from the valleys in between faraway mountains. We used the bus from the hotel to the station and then another bus to Magome Jingu. We had booked a twin room for one night and 2 single rooms for the next night. The staff was kind and helped to fit us up for 2 nights in a twin room although the hotel was full. I will be delighted to stay in this hotel again.

I had already gotten more for the price I paid. There is nothing negative.

One of the most value-for-money places I stayed in during my travels in Japan. Exceptional views from just outside the building of Gifu mountains, and the rooms themselves are very well-equiped and comfy, considering the price! Also, the staff went above and beyond to make sure I could check-in without a physical passport (as I didn't have it at the time), and helped me check-in just with a picture I had of it.

Wifi slightly slow but not terrible

The property was ideally located for visiting Magome and other post towns on the Nakasendo Trail. It provided free parking and there was also a well stocked supermarket within walking distance. There was a good breakfast on offer

For the price the hotel is great. Very clean and comfortable, good facilities and friendly staff that speek english fairly good. You have a good breakfast until 9am, an onsen, bending machine and next door 2 convenience stores. The area is very calm quite which makes a good night sleep.

Good restaurant on ground floor. Dinner prices were very good value and breakfast buffet was great. The room was comfortable and facilities included a women only hot pool as well as public hot pool. We found staff very helpful and friendly.

Mattress was rather hard compared to Western beds.

Small onsen on the first floor which is empty in the later hours, really good and various breakfast options, USB Ports at the bed. FamilyMart, KFC, McDonalds and a big grocery store are in walkable distance. You get a free drink, which is a very friendly gesture.

The bath wasn't completely clean and for someone without it is a car a bit isolated.

Front desk is superb. They have nicely folded origami to give out to little children - and my daughter was delighted! The rooms were nice and clean. We have two non-connected rooms, but as it was the peak travel season, we were glad we found a nice hotel like this one. Its location was also excellent. If you stay here, you must eat at the Prince Matsuba, Nakatsugawa - just opposite the hotel! During my entire stay in Chubu, this restaurant provides the best food at the most reasonable price and great servings.

Well looked after. A business style hotel, but, as a foreign tourist visiting over new year, the staff made sure I had what I needed to do some hiking and where to eat. The onsen, a daily ritual for many domestic visitors, was a treat. Helpful and kind.

It has 1 lift for 8 floors, so a little patience when checking out was needed.
