Proximity to ski areas
The well documented and praised Onsen was closed for no reason and no timeframe was given for its reopening- very disappointing

The hotel and ski locker room is next to the ski gondola. You can rent Atomic skis from the hotel's locker room or visit Village Sports at the Hilton. Location-wise, the hotel is very convenient. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. The outdoor onsen is a highlight of this hotel, but unfortunately it was closed during my stay. The hotel shop now accepts credit card payment. There are flexible bus options like the Niseko United bus and Niseko Village's shuttle. Go Taxi worked well here with a taxi parked only 3-5 minutes away early morning.
Unfortunately, the outdoor onsen was under maintenance for the entirety of our stay this season, and that's the only downside I could think of.

The buffet breakfast were great. Having a ski rental within the hotel was so good. Was super easy to hire skis and then just ski straight on out onto the mountain. Love the ski in ski out.
Unfortunately my husband had an accident on the slopes and required crutches. Given the hotel is a ski resort it would be great if the hotel had crutches or a first aid nearby to get these from. I was running around all of niseko trying to find crutches etc. The hotel does not have a drug store either and the closet is in Niseko village which was difficult to get to when my husband was on crutches. If you are injured and cannot get around by foot - staying at the resort makes things quite difficult as you aren't able to really leave or get anything if it is not in the resort. It is quite limiting.

Location is great and that's why we keep coming back, this was our 3rd trip to Niseko staying in Green Leaf. The hotel is a true ski in/out. The outdoor onsen is a dream, a magical experience that I wish we could take home.
However there is a noticeable decline in the overall experience when compared to our first stay. Bedsheets show some decay, there is no welcome onsen kit/nécessaire anymore and the outdoor onsen had an emergency maintenance that last our entire stay, I mean 7 nights! I think it would be understandable if for a couple of days, but 7 if not longer, it is a bit too much.

It was an excellent ski in and out hotel for families with very friendly and professional staff. We really liked the lounge downstairs next to the lobby! and the dry room for all our skiing equipment. The rooms were very clean and a good size and the view from the rooms was picture perfect.
The food at the hotel was disappointing - especially the diner and the lounge bar service for food was very short so it pushed us to go elsewhere. Also on New Year's Eve we were expecting to be able to get a drink at midnight to celebrate the new year and the bar closed early. Finally there were not enough washing and drying machines - people were queuing till after midnight just to be able to wash and dry their clothes - generally mothers who had to be up early the following day to organise their children for skiing. You really need to put in some more washing and drying machines please.

The hotel had a great onsen, especially the outdoor bath. The lounge/bar was lively and welcoming, including for families/children. The location was excellent with ski rental on the premises and the slopes immediately on the doorstep. The local restaurants were easy to access by gondola. The filter coffee at breakfast was good quality.
The buffet dinner was expensive for what it was - I would have preferred a few simple a la carte dishes (they had some items but massively overpriced). We made the mistake of going on the first night and did not go again. It’s a pity because the restaurant space itself is pleasant.

The Green Leaf was incredibly convenient — taking a shuttle from the New Chitose Airport in Sapporo brought you to the front door was almost as easy as the free shuttle service form the hotel to the rest of the towns (like getting to downtown Hirafu). The ski rental shop was literally in the building and a breeze to use — they even provide you a locker to store equipment during your stay. And you are literally only steps away from a mini gondola to get you to a slope than you take to the main gondola for Niseko Village. The staff was exceptionally helpful at all times. And the indoor and outdoor onsen was a great touch. Finally — the breakfast buffet was substantial and quite delicious! Certainly catered to Americans/Europeans, but a nice mix of Japanese cuisine too.
No complaints, nearly a perfect stay.

The hotel rooms were lovely. The onsen was super needed after a day on the slopes. It’s a separate male and female but they also have a heat outdoor pool if you want to go together. The bar downstairs great too! Locations near to Niseko village which you can get the cable car at night to/from. There is also a free bus that brings you to hirafu which has a lot more going on (approx 20mins one way).
The evening restaurant is awful!!! Worse meal I’ve ever had and really expensive buffet. Google review reflect this. We are sorry we didn’t check prior to eating there.

Skiing in and out of the property; Free shuttle bus to town; nice shower; comfortable bed; good Breakfast and indoor onsen. Lobby/bar area was nice.
I was Checked into an unmade bedroom and had to wait around until they found me a new bedroom. The outdoor onsen was out of service and no prior notice was given (even though you have to pay extra “onsen tax”). Small and thin pillows. The staff was overall nice but needed more training to handle the busy season. The bedroom is only clean every second day (not a big issue for me, but for the price of the hotel it’s something worth noting)

Great ski in ski out location. Good size room for 3 people. Hotel was busy but quiet in rooms which was great. Good breakfast options. Easy transport from airport to hotel with NDS. Easy to get to Niseko village via gondola for other eating options. Nice view but if I stayed again would request a room with view of ski fields so could watch family ski from room.
Eating options at hotel and within Niseko village were expensive when compared to staying in somewhere like Myoko, Tokyo, etc. It is a large hotel with only 2 washing machines and dryers so people waiting to use.
