Location right by the lift and ski rental shop was fantastic. Make sure you get your lift pass at the venue as they do a 50% discount for guests (i paid full price online prior to arrival)

The bed i had specifically was very squeaky every time i moved. Partners bed had no issues so i would assume only some beds have this problem.

The sleeping pods at Moiwa are awesome. Felt very private, with ample room for yourself and storage space for luggage. The bathroom facilities are really nice and well-kept (except for the 20 second limit on the shower button). Also security there was pretty good, needing a key for the locker and to get into the rooms. And obviously affordability for being slope side was great.

My friend and I struggled with the lack of kitchen facilities. With no shops around, and only a microwave to prepare food, no cups or bowls provided, it was lucky we brought food and cups with us. But it was really restrictive. Another major drawback of staying at Moiwa is the accessibility. There's no bus that consistently travels to and from Moiwa. Paired with being out of the way and lack of taxis, we resorted to skiing over to annupuri anytime we wanted to go somewhere. The bus routes and schedules in the whole Niseko area are confusing af to a new visitor.

Bed is really uncomfy even with 2 mattresses. This messed up my back with all the skiing. Owners should upgrade all mattresses in there.

The pods are really well designed; functional / practical / cool factor. Onsite catering, open until late. Moiwa field immediately across the road. View of Moiwa ski runs from huge glass wall of dining room. Security; Large vertical locker + in pod safe, door swipes required to access guest zones. No queues on the lifts at Moiwa. Easy to access Annapurna and hence the 4 connected fields. Staff very cool and Extremely helpful (+hardworking) Japanese peops.

Extremely difficult to access Hirafu village by road if using the bus service. Completely isolated from any Lawsons/7-11 type service. Mattresses are too thin (I & multiple others had come with our own inflatable camping mattresses based on previous traveller comments ) Night temperature too high to comfortably sleep (was adjusted down by request).

This was my first time staying in a pod-type hotel and a hostel, and it was a great experience! The gear locker for storing my snowboard and equipment was really convenient, especially having them dry off overnight for the next day. The food on-site was delicious, and if you have a rental car, Niseko's nightlife is just a short drive away. There’s also a fantastic outdoor onsen nearby within walking distance that is tattoo-friendly. The pod itself was actually a bit bigger than I expected, and at 6'4", I had no issues with the space. The location is perfect for skiing right across the parking lot at Moiwa, and it’s also a great base for exploring other resorts like Rusutsu, Kiroro, and many others. I met some amazing people and made great connections. I would absolutely stay here again!

50% off day pass at Moiwa. Great staff. Sufficient amount of storage, even with skis and a large suitcase. 30 seconds away from the slopes. Away from main niseko, aka it's not Australia, staff were actually japanese. Made some great friends in the hostel in just a couple of days. Will definitely stay here if I ever go to Niseko/Moiwa again!

Very hard beds. Only a microwave and kettles, would've been nice with some more kitchen appliances.

The lockers at the entrance are a great way to keep everyone's snow gear dry, organized, and most importantly, out of the sleeping area, which avoids bad odors in the sleeping area. Plenty of showers, sinks, toilets, and complimentary daily towels. The bed capsules are amazing - comfortable bedding, privacy, and a great setup with a mirror, shelf, lighting, etc. Overall it's a wonderful accommodation just a 15 minute drive from the main slopes with an awesome value.

The staff was unfriendly, but they do a good job keeping everything clean. Furthermore, the complementary breakfast is not great at all, but it's nice to have the option to grab a quick bite when running late to the slopes.

The staff here are fantastic and the place was very well kept. The facilities were very good and were always clean.

The bed was a squeaky so I was scared of getting up at night when I needed to go to the toilet and the only other thing was they let people dry there boots with hair dryers so the whole locker room also had a particular off smell

The lodge is literally in front of the ski rental place and ski lift. The facility is very clean and modern. There's a large room with a wood stove with good WiFi, free tea etc.

The logistics of getting from Moiwa to the rest of Niseko or to the airport is sort of maddening. Everything has to be reserved, and there are like 5 bus companies, each with their own policies, schedules, phone numbers. It's not something you can leave to the last minute.
