The restaurant area was superb. The night buffet offers a steak and crab that night and have a good selection of food and desserts. They have a good space and lots of parking lot. This hotel has a 4 coin-op washer and dryer which was very convenient when you have a big family of 5. During our stay for new year, you can write your message and hang the paper which was cute. There are 3 available luggage cart that you can use to haul your items. it secure as well because you have to tap your room key to access the elevator.

First of all: It's very good value for money! We stayed overnight coming back from Kirishima on our way to the ferry to Shikoku. We arrived with little expectations but the hotel turned out to be some of the best value for money during our entire trip. They also offer free parking right in front of the hotel, which was excellent. Staff is friendly and the breakfast is also very good.

Cleanliness is an issue in this hotel. Above all, the condition of the rooms is kind of bad. The furniture look like 30 years old, many things are damaged, also the walls, some furniture look like they were taken second hand from a junkyard. Worst of all is the carpet in the rooms. It's just so old and filthy full of ugly stains that make you want not to walk on it barefooted. It also smells of old cigarette smoke in the rooms. Still, the hotel is perfectly fine for short visits to Oita area.

The room we finally were assigned was newly renovated (level 10) and comfortable. The gym and pool are very good (run separately to the hotel but allowed to use).

The first room we were assigned was terrible. The sofa had a sheet covering the old upholstery, carpet was very old, more like a hostel then 4 star hotel. Beware only a few floors have been renovated.

Quite cheap for a 4-stars hotel. Has a lot of facilities like restaurant, gym, pool… Room is huge by Japan standard.

The parking lot for bicycle is outside and small. The pool and gym on 4th floor cannot be opened using key room but has to use intercom right next to the door.

The room was an excellent size, as was the bathroom. The check in was smooth and welcoming. The free parking was great to have. The views are beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. The location is convenient for museums and the station. Oita is a lovely city to visit and the Rembrandt a great place to use as a base.

The immediate area surrounding the hotel doesn’t have much going on, but it’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the station or more active areas.

Big and spacious room! It was clean, comfortable and well-maintained for its age (could tell it was a tad on the older side). A real pity that we stayed only one night and didn't have the time to explore the other facilities - there was a 24h gym + swimming pool. The parking lot was large so we didn't find any trouble parking the car.

Conveniently located within 10 min walk from Oita Station. The staff were courteous, respectful, and accommodating. Nice sized room.

The bathroom looked somewhat outdated, and I would expect a newer bathroom system for the price.

The very large rooftop pool 🏊🏼 however both of us caught a very nasty bacteria infection in the hat whirlpool spa next to it... better avoid it!

Good location - near the JR Oita station. A big bath for people staying at the hotel was available and was good. Breakfast was good.
