Wonderful hotel, it was very comfortable and away from all the hustle and bustle which we thoroughly enjoyed. We could walk outside and play in the snow or jump on their shuttle bus into OMACHI to explore or surrounding ski resorts. Definitely on the quieter side in our experience. We went as a family of 4 and the kids loved it, kids room was a hit. Staff were amazing and very friendly.

Food was great but it’s more on the expensive side, very similar to Aus prices and potentially even more expensive dependant on what you order. No other choice in food though due to location, quite secluded unless you go into town during the day.

This hotel offers a cozy and serene retreat in a beautiful forest setting. The beds are comfortable with warm doonas, ensuring a restful sleep. While the rooms and bathrooms may feel small by European standards, they are quite spacious for Japan and impeccably clean. The atmosphere is peaceful, perfect for relaxation. The standout feature is undoubtedly the onsen, particularly the outdoor one, which creates a magical experience—especially in the snow. The facilities overall are excellent. Although the hotel is a 20-30 minute drive from Hakuba, it’s well worth the stay if you have a car. Highly recommended for those looking for a tranquil and rejuvenating getaway!

The breakfast was a bit of a letdown. Not the greatest variety and many items were cold. No proper coffee is served either.

Very relaxing hotel located in the middle of the forest in the center of Japanese alps Very welcoming staff , nice interior , great onsen , clean and well maintained. The breakfast is ok but might be better in terms of verity The hotel has free kids policy (kids till 11) which is great , kids don't pay at the restaurant. Many nature relaxing walks and hot springs are near by , also the alpine road just around the corner.

Not something that I didnt like but be aware that the location is in the nature , there are bugs and flies all around :)

The property is in a beautiful location surrounded by picturesque place. This property was renewed a year ago. The resort can be easily reached via train, bus, car. Inside the resort it has got a golf course, tennis courts, amazing swimming pool, stunning open and closed onsen, one restaurant, one bar, resort centre(a place to relax), play area specially for kids, Small shop which sells quick needs for trekking (Northface branded clothes, cold beverages, snacks to carry). Outside the resort: There is a cute park which has a natural foot onsen (please see my pics). It’s such a lovely place to relax by dipping ur foot into the water and you can even walk within. Watch out for the temperature of the water though.

There were not English speaking people at the reception which made it quite challenging for us to communicate to them (although I handled with my conversational level Japanese). we didn’t have a car, so it was quite difficult to commute to places without car. Because the frequency of resort shuttle buses or any other publicly transport was less in frequency. I am hoping the resort could start renting bicycles to people who would wish to go on cycle trip which will make it easy for us to visit nearby places.

Location and building is very good. Rooms and facilities are modern. There’s a shop downstairs to purchase winter clothes and gifts which was nice. Staff were friendly and attentive. Especially the girls at the front office and the young man during the night. Room service is available.

The room service phone staff struggled with taking order due to lack of English capacity. However it was manageable. I did find a piece of broken porcelain in my beef gyudon which luckily I didn’t eat, I informed the management immediately as it is a health concern for myself and other guests. Something terrible could’ve happened if I or another guest had swallowed it.

We stayed at the hotel for one week and overall had a great stay here. Staff was friendly and the room and facilities were very clean. The public outdoor onsen was a nice addition to our stay. Breakfast selection was quite good with many Western Style and Japanese Style dishes to choose from. Good access to the Tateyama-Kurobe-Alpine Route.

Not many negatives, however the family onsen is a nice touch but could be renovated and doesn‘t match the public outdoor onsen (only inside). Hotel Restaurant has an ok selection of dishes but prices are too high for the quality and quantity of the food (but is to be expected of a resort hotel). Alternatives in the near vicinity are scarce (rental car definetly necessary)

The hotel was located behind a golf course that had closed for the winter and was a great place to take walks in nature. The hotel had an weight/exercise room that I took advantage of almost every night and the highlight was sitting in the outdoor onsen (naturally heated outdoor pool) with snow on the nearby trees.

It really was a great experience but the only think that could be improved would be offering more variety on the menu and for the buffet. An expanded selection of food besides beef offerings would be nice.

Nice big room for Japan. Everything was meticulously clean and well maintained. Breakfast buffet was good and very helpful and polite staff - very well English speaking.

We did not have a car, so sort of stuck to the hotel for the nights. During the ski season there is a free shuttle service to the Hakuba Goryu ski lift which is convenient, but you are stuck to the timing and busses to the other areas are cumbersome. There is also a shuttle service available from/to Nagano JR station.

The hotel is at a beautiful location with amazing views of the nearby mountains. There is a bus stop right by the hotel, making it very convenient to get to Ōmachi or the Tateyama Alpine Route. The breakfast and dinner buffets were incredibly versatile, abundant, and delicious, with plenty of alternatives catering for various dietary resrictions. They even have a chef offering custom alternatives. The staff is extremely service minded. They have various alternatives for those who want to excersize (gym, pool, golf course, tennis courts, putting greens..), a fun hang-out area with games in the lobby, and a lovely lobby bar with a cool fireplace. We loved soaking our tired feet each night in the amazing (free) foot onsen. The room was huge with a big comfortable bed, and offered various amenities (samue, wine cooler, electric kettle, q-tips, shaver, toothbrush....). We would be more than happy to stay here again!

They don't allow tattos at their public onsen so we did not get to try that. We rented the private family onsen instead. It was a nice large bath but the space could have been a tad nicer. The lobby bar/cafe closes at 17 so we did not get to try that.

The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel is located really close to Ogizawa station and downtown Omachi, so it was easy for us to get to the snow wall and also go into town for food. The hotel itself is very clean and nice, offers parking and the breakfast and dinner were great. Will definitely visit again.

Hotel room seems to not have air conditioning, so when it got a bit warmer, we just opened the window.
