Such a good value for money! First of all I loved the area, it's full of students and feels very welcoming, there's food and shops around (Toriton has the best sushi!). The room was above average size for what I have seen during my trip. There's a lot of space in the common areas and a bath (tattoo-friendly). I also love the fact it was at walking distance from the centre (about 30min) but still far enough to get a nice walk by the river. If you take the tube, the stop is around the corner and it's a couple of stops away from the main station. I would recommend it but PLEASE remember there is a curfew and if you enjoy typical Japanese late nights out it is very early (midnight). It worked great for me as I was working remotely in the evening and wasn't going out anyway, so if you have a similar situation or you're simply someone who is ok with being back at a specific time, this is a very good, affordable option.

It was very near the Gakuen mae station . Very convenient specially when you are carrying heavy bags and it's winter. It is very convenient also with grocery supplies and food as it has 7-11 and family mart very near to the hotel. There is a very big grocery around 5-10 mins walk from the hotel. The staff are all wonderful and always has a smile for you. Very helpful and considerate. The facilites are always clean even if you have to share the bathroom with other guests.

Nothing . It was perfect for us. I should say though that it has a curfew. So for those people who stays late outside should take note on this.

We didn't realize there was a public bath until arriving, and it quickly became the highlight of our stay. It was so wonderful to spend the day in snowy Sapporo and come home to a spacious, warm bathhouse. The hostel is located directly beside a train station entrance, which made travel convenient and quick. The traditional Japanese style room was large enough to unpack our suitcases, and still left room for light exercise.

The ceiling vent outside our room was visibly covered in mold. It made us concerned about the quality of ventilation inside our room.

Great location. Subway stop literally outside the hostel; only 1 stop to Susukino (nightlife) and 2 stops to Odori (shopping). Free parking. Very friendly/helpful staff on reception. Amazing showers (there are only 2 for the building but in 6 nights, we only had to wait for the shower once). There is also a lovely onsen/bath in the basement. Kitchen is small but has everything you need. A big fridge available to store your food. Big room with 4 single beds. Amazing value for money - I would not hesitate to recommend this youth hostel.

The only thing I can think of is that the mattresses were a little thin/hard but manageable.

Everything was so clean, room was comfortable and warm. From kitchen to laundry machines - we had all we needed. Very close from a lot of konbinis, subway (gakuenmae station - 学園前) and bigger shopping mall. And the curfew hour is from 00:00, so midnight! When I checked here it said from 22:00 (10PM) so I was pretty pleasantly surprised to hear it's later! The kind staff member at check in spoke english, so this time my japanese wasn't needed haha I recommend this place with all my heart!

loved the spacious clean rooms and shower and onsen, great value for money! staff were really nice and accommodating, when i forgot about the no shower after 10am rule they let me take a quick one since it was my first time..location was really near to the train station too (useful for running to open the door just before the 12am curfew)

the shower cut-off timings and 12-6am curfews.. but learned to work with it cuz the room was worth it :)

Everything was clean. The rooms were clean and most shockingly the bathrooms as well which were spotless. There were lockers inside the room and slippers were provided. I did not have the time to check out the showers and public bath unfortunately. The friendly staff was extremely cooperative with an issue I had. The place was also conveniently right next to a train station.

The room was a bit cold but I couldn't figure out how to adjust the temperature. The shared spaces were always empty when I passed by. I picked a hostel partly because of the social aspect but it seemed quiet most of the time. I didn't particularly find the neighborhood interesting.

- Very clean facility. The washroom was spotless, shower was cleaned, and room was very clean - Super nice staff that was very helpful and was always down to help answer any questions - Location was amazing, right beside a station - Very quiet and peaceful, never had an issue with noise

- Maybe wifi was slightly spotty in the room but that wasn't really an issue for regular phone browsing

Location is good, you are right outside of a station that is on the Toho, and are only 2-3 stops from major stations. Staff was very nice from the limited interactions I had with them. Very clean facilities. Overall very good experience.

My bed was not the most comfortable and you could feel the springs in the mattress, I do not know if this is the case for all of the beds though. A mattress topper would go a long way to make the bed more comfortable.

Close to the subway station, and there are elevators inside the subway station so no need to carry the heavy luggage by stairs. The staff are nice, the place is very clean and quite spacious.

Others guests. One family stayed on the fourth floor where I stayed and went to use the bathroom in the early morning and kept slamming the door VERY HARD and MANY TIMES! Very annoying! Some guests used the kitchen and didn’t close the cabinet door, might easily get your head hit.
