Really fun place to stay! Definitely oriented towards an older crowd and the location is a bit off the beaten path but the rooms were nice and there was so much to do between the baths, the multiple restaurants, the arcade, gift shop, etc. The baths were fantastic- I've never been any place have such a huge variety of bath types, rooms, saunas, etc. It was really incredible. The view from the room was stunning. Shuttle to the stations nearby every hour, but it is also walkable albeit not super convenient. Incredible views of Mt. Fuji in the surrounding areas. The room was decently comfortable and had its own private toilet and sink. I stayed to visit the Miho Pine Forest and to see Obuchi Sasabo, which were both wonderful.

The a/c was set to Heat in every room and it made it really hot in there. The window opened though so it wasn't horrible but still quite uncomfortable, especially during the day when the sun was facing the room. I find it irritating that it's advertised as having controllable A/C but it wasn't actually guaranteed. Location is not super convenient- 20 minute walk from the station and not all extremely pedestrian friendly areas so make sure you know how to order a taxi to get from the station to the hotel if you're coming in at night or with luggage. You had to give your room key to the desk anytime you left, which wouldn't really be an issue except sometimes the line at reception gets very long. Not great pillows

OMG where do I start? The staff… amazing. The public bath…. Huge and such variety. The hair salon…. The hotel hairdresser Mr Koji Matsushita is such a perfectionist and he was awesome. The hotel restaurants… you’ll need a week’s stay as there’s that much variety. The hotel shuttle bus… very convenient. I tried a scrub Madame not knowing what it was but jeez if I had more time I’d definitely book in another.

A small detail but was fixed quick fast and with no issue at all. My original room was on the highway side and I’m a very very light sleeper and I just couldn’t sleep as traffic was still whizzing past at 12.30am. I went down to reception to politely ask if there was a spare room on the non highway side and the reception man kindly moved me across.

Onsen is huge with many facilities, the rooms are in a fair state considering how old the hotel is. The reception staff doesn't speak English but did their best to communicate. The hotel is barefoot only. You may see Fuji from the higher floors on a good day.

The "Pool area " is working only during the weekends and it's more like a kid's attraction, not clear if it's paid additionally for hotel guests! This is not made clear in the listing. If you are not an Onsen person this might be an issue. This is an actual Public Bath which means the Onsen is accessed by external customers all the time and could be a little busy at times.

This is part of a onsen franchise and it’s very helpful to have all toiletries and pijamas ready to use. But for foreigns, please be aware that this is a traditional onsen and baths are at shared areas, and not all signs are in english. Check-in and check-out were very smooth and staff is extremely helpful.

The hotel/spa is a short walk from the station, but can be tought if you have luggage with you. Signs were mostly in japanese, but staff was more than happy to help with my questions.

The onsen is excellent. There is so many to choose from. As for the food, there is a very good selection and it's reasonably priced. There is a restaurant at the top level where you may see Mount fuji on a clear day.

There is really nothing around the hotel to sight see. Fortunately, it has a free shuttle to okitse and shimizu stations so that you can still go sight seeing at nearby nihondera, miho, bay mall, Shizuoka station... BTW, There is a free shuttle by s pulse dream mall to the mall (from shimizu station).

It has a lot of different baths so it’s never too crowded even at busy times. Nice views of Mt Fuji from the room floors and the outdoor baths. They have a lot of restaurants inside the building as well.

There is a free shuttle bus to the nearest station but I didn’t mind walking. There’s two convenience stores and a bakery on the walking route.

Staff cannot speak English but tried their best to use the translation device and hands gestures. If you want to experience public bath, this is the way to go. No bath in your room. Only toilet and sink. Location is great. Food is lovely. The view is phenomenal. Will definitely visit again.
