The view from outside the hotel is unmatched. We enjoyed it both at night and for sunrise the next morning. The drive itself up and down the mountain is amazing as well. The sightseeing really makes this hotel worth it. We stayed in a family room because it was the last room available, so it was comfortable enough but I imagine the normal rooms are much better. Tip: bring snacks/food before you go up the mountain, there's nothing once you get up there. There's also apparently wild boars roaming so be careful at night.

I didn't realize that the hotel is inside a national park and you need to pass a parking gate to get to it, and that's why they say check in is until 9pm. They messaged us early in the day to explain the parking situation, but I wish they had mentioned the importance of the check-in deadline. We arrived about an hour past the time, but the staff kindly still came to manually open the gate and let us in, we really appreciated their kindness.

Location is great, with a fantastic view of the islands and sea. The instructions on the transport to the hotel is clear, as it is within the country park. The parking slot in front of the hotel is convenient.

The breakfast is simple rice-roll or energy bar with a bottled drink. This could be enhanced to improve the experience of the stay. The check-out time was 11am, and if it could be extended to 12 noon would be better for more ample time to walk around the place.

This hotel is in a totally unique location, that is really wonderful if you are a hiker or just like to immerse in nature. They aren't joking when they say that they have great views (although this will depend on your room). I also like being able to escape the city a bit here. The beds were also very comfortable!

Our room was a little barren, and the breakfast offerings were very sparse.

Located in Yashima National Park, you can expect an uphill drive. The night view was fantastic and we get to see so many stars!

Everything is good but Note that to park near the hotel, you need to reserve ahead by giving them a call with an extra fee of 800yen (general parking is for 400 yen and a bit further down so you may have to carry your bags up to the hotel). There is also no elevators in the hotel so you’d have to carry your bags up.

We had a great stay. Rooms abit old but spacious and toilet is new. No lift to second flr room but carrying up our luggage is not a problem for us. Very rustic and quiet. With a great view - day and night. The temple and garden next door is nice. Staff is helpful. 20 mins drive away from city centre and you are in a completely different environment. Love it!

The view from the hotel is breathtaking. The room was large and had all the amenities. The bathroom was excellent. The walks around the hotel were very nice as was the nearby temple. The staff was most helpful.

If you do not arrive by car getting on and off the mountain is not always convenient.

superb scenic location better than expectation，staff/owner was very friend and speak fluent English, bed was very comply, the bed heater was a bonus in winter stay, driving is recommended, the location is tricky to find, best to ask for direction from hotel beforehand, limited parking was available at front, there is a charge for parking but be sure to take it otherwise need to walk a distance from the nearby parking lot

don't bring large luggage since there is no elevator, fortunately only need to walk up only one floor

Huge, super spacious room with a sunset view of the beautiful seto inland sea - exceptional. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Parking is 800yen a night. Breakfast option was two tasty rice balls. The room was clean and quiet, and the beds, pillows and comforters were super comfortable - we didn’t want to leave!

There was only one free plug point available, and it was in the bathroom. All the plugs in the rooms were used by lamps, tv etc., which we had to unplug to charge our stuff. So small thing, but a bit annoying. Also, not a negative on the hotel or our stay, but we didn’t realise the hotel was located inside of something like a nature reserve with an aquarium etc., so we were just initially confused to come up on a large parking lot on the mountain after following google maps; but pretty easy to figure it out.

This was our third stay at this hotel and we are looking forward to staying again in 2026. We have reccomended this hotel to friends, who thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Super room, well laid out, lots of space and stunning view.

Food choice somewhat limited but we were catered for.

The location was actually inside a park behind the aquarium. The view from the hotel room was spectacular. Again, wish we had more time to enjoy the facility but we had to catch a morning flight.
