The room was extremely spacious for our family of 4, with 2 beds. The separate rooms for toilet and shower/sink were appreciated. The lobby was very tranquil. This was the only hotel of 10 we stayed at on this trip that had its own dedicated parking area, which was convenient. The room had a washing machine, which was helpful. Although it didn't seem to have a real heat drying function, which we found to be the same at other hotels with washing machines.

The hotel was kind of remote, although in a densely populated area, we didn't find anything nearby worth visiting, so we drove elsewhere for food, shopping, etc.

Fully stocked laundry and kitchen supplies were an unexpected (and welcome!) surprise. Outstanding staff and breakfast, loved the freshly made crêpes and cappuccino!

It’s a little off the beaten path, but there are several convenience stores and restaurants nearby. Also, the fact they made the automatic doors the same color as the walls with no signage (and dim interior lighting) made it difficult to find the exits.

Lovely staff, quiet location with easy walkable access to points of interest and restaurants, nice energy and design style. Cool onsite cafe and breakfast.

Initial room we were assigned had a window facing a wall and was quite dark. The nightly rate at the time of our stay during the Setouchi Triennale felt rather high for the value proposition of the property.

This is a fabulous place. The hostess is the best in Japan. Where did you find that wonderful person?! The room was spacious and could serve a whole family. The bathroom is a miracle with a drying patent after washing your laundry in the washing machine that stands right there! The KitchenAid was fully equipped and convenient. We loved this special place and wil surely recommend to all our friends.

This is our second time with Fav Hotel. We stayed at Fav Hotel Kumamoto last year and we had a good time. So. I decided to choose this hotel Chainoi again. Excellent choice for family with small kids. Comfortable beds with enough space to move around. The room feel likes home with washing machine and small kitchen. The bathroom, which has a special function to dry our clothes after washing, is quite cool.

I wish it’s closer to convenient stores. But walking 5-6 minutes is also no big deal.

feels very impersonal as there is almost no staff at the reception, except for a few hours in the afternoon...so it looks more like a self-service hotel...not really what you expect from a hotel and not really convenient when you have some requests...

The location is good. It is near one of the major train stations and yet far away enough not to be affected by the noise. The room itself is spacious and modern. It is very well equipped and comes with a digital lock. The check in and check out process is smooth. Last but not least, the staff manning the hotel is professional, engaging and fun!

The hotel was very clean and offered great amenities (washing machine, wash room that doubles as drying room, two comfortable queen size beds and a decent sized room for 3 adults (by Japanese standards it was quite big). Very good value for money.

Staff were not evident except at check-in. The reception desk did not have someone manning it during business hours, so I’m not sure what would have happened if we experienced any difficulties. Not enough cutlery/ crockery in the kitchenette, given the number of people the room accommodates.

The bunk room was great for a family of 4 and more spacious than other Japanese hotels we’ve stayed at. The kitchenette and washing machine and drying closet were a welcome bonus too. Self changing towels on each floor also a plus.

The location is not very close to station and the room was showing some signs of wear and tear. Also no staff to help book a taxi or give recommendations.

The price was amazing for what you get -- a king sized bed, washing machine in the room (which we didn't end up using but a nice surprise), decently sized bathroom, table with two chairs, etc. We slept so comfortably and were pleasantly surprised by the room. The lady who helped us was also so sweet -- she came up to explain how to dry our clothes, helped us call a taxi, and was genuinely very helpful. Would highly recommend!

The check in is completely automated through a screen and there's no one at the counter if you run into issues. This isn't a huge problem as someone was able to assist us when we had trouble checking in but FYI if you check in during off hours it will not be possible to enter.
