Great location, two train stations close by and with many metro/subway lines available. Compact room suitable for 1 person; fantastic shower and very clean. Can log in to your own Netflix/other websites which I really liked. Amenities in the room topped up frequently by staff. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Mattress and pillow too hard for my personal preference, however still managed to get a decent nights sleep. Window/room not very sound proof, would recommend to bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper.

Roppongi APA is perfectly located between 2 train stations. Walk to shops, restaurants, Roppongi Hills, Mori Museum or Tokyo Tower. Guests and staff are respectful. Open air atrium style building for fresh air. Comfy lobby. Great onsen! Laundry available w in-room app to monitor progress. Fresh towels, robes, sundries daily. Room has mini fridge, water pot, large TV. Store suitcases under the bed. Excellent value.

The room I booked was small for my extended stay.

Good location (close to 2 metro stations and Tokyo Tower), comfortable bed.

Small room, early check in costs money (we were an hour early) and the pool also costs extra.

I went there because it was fairly close to my work and it has an onsen. Although there’re only a couple of pools, the onsen was very clean and relaxing. I wish they had more of a variety and temperatures, all three were on the warm side, 40 to 41°. There are also several convenient bus stops nearby and a Lawsons convenience store next-door. Luckily, although the website says you cannot control the air conditioner, you actually can, so you can get the room cold enough to sleep with the Siberian style comforter that’s on the bed in the middle of summer.

My bed was not comfortable. From the pictures it looks like a real bed, but it’s actually a 4 inch thick mattress on a metal wire frame, so you can put your luggage underneath because there’s no other place to put it, the room is so small. So instead of feeling like a bed, it feels like a futon, a cushion on top of something very hard.

APA hotels work perfectly for the traveler that likes to stay out all day and part of the night and go back to a place to sleep in a quiet, clean, and comfortable (even though its a small room it´s very well thought and designed to work charms for travelers that don´t need any luxury but want to be comfortable). Acommodation is good, staff is helpful (they provide the send your bags service which is alwas a wonder).

They don´t allow tattoed people in the public bath and that is very disappointing. We would have loved to relax in the public sento and they wouldn allow tattoed persons, I believe being a chain that gets quite a few foreigners every year, would be a charm to re think this very old school and dated policies.

The hotel was very stylish and aesthetically pleasing. The hallways and public facilities were clean and welcoming, and the private rooms were more spacious than other hotels. The amenities in the room were wonderful to use. Outside of the hotel is a stunning view of Tokyo tower and it is very pretty at night. The hotel is in between two metro stations and it’s very easy to get to both within 10 minutes. A Lawson store is right next to the hotel which made it easy to get snacks. The onsen in the hotel is lovely, clean and big and we liked the yukata provided by the hotel. Also, they provide new towels, amenities and yukata every day at your door which is very thoughtful—take it when you need new ones.

The location. The neighborhood is not very exciting with few choices in restaurants. There were also foreign men on the same street as the hotel standing and loitering people passing by them to go to a certain club nearby which was uncomfortable.

The hotel is located quite near 2 metro stations in the Roppongi area. So many restaurants and shops are nearby. The room is quite small but bearable. Love the Onsen the most, actually- probably the best part of staying at this hotel. The breakfast buffet was ok, compared to some other hotels that I stayed at.

There are quite a few washing machines in the laundry room, compared to the huge number of guests staying every day. I guess I could never get a free washing machine due to the long queue every night, so I wouldn't bother anymore. I do hope the staff could be a bit friendlier when it comes to borrowing the iron or other stuff. Sometimes I feel like they are not comfortable with lending stuff to customers.

It’s an APA hotel, so expect convenience and decent prices for Tokyo, but the rooms and beds are quite small. Since we were out most of the time we didn’t mind. They leave fresh towels at your door every day, but do not make beds or collect trash. Beware if this matters to you. My husband really liked their sento - it was spacious and modern. If you have tattoos you may not be able to get in. It’s a bit of a walk to the station but even with luggage it was quite convenient. We like Roppongi for the more laid-back vibe of the area compared to Shinjuku, and it’s still quite easy to get to areas like Shibuya, Ginza, with not too many subway transfers.

Very well appointed rooms, great location, Onsen was awesome! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel was safe and the grounds were very well kept. Overall, for the price unless you need a big room it would be hard to beat this hotel for a visit to Tokyo.

The only disappointment we had was that the pool is pay by the hour. Our children really would have enjoyed swiming but it was a little excessive. Still, it kept the pool area from being a madhouse. And in lieu of the pool we used the free Onsen which was incredible. Just used to pools being included in stays at hotels which offer them so this was a letdown for our kids.

Located in Roppongi, the view from our room overlooked Tokyo tower and was fantastic. The standard of hotel and service is consistent with other APA hotels, with a well-equipped and very clean room. The staff are always helpful and polite. If you need, there are 4 washer/dryer machines and you can even check if any are free by using the television menu, which is useful and saves a wasted trip up to the 18th floor. The hotel has a rooftop area with pool and free spa (although see note below). The area is quiet by Tokyo standards but there are plenty of good restaurants nearby and easy to get to Tokyo station for the Shinkansen train plus visit the Emperor's castle and grounds. Otherwise, recommend as a very good place to stay and prefer location to the Shibuya and Shunjuku areas which are both too chaotic for my liking.

Although warm when we visited, the rooftop pool was closed, a shame - otherwise would have scored higher. Not a criticism but for those not familiar with Japan, please note to use the free spa you can the gowns provided in your room (there is even a video that shows how to wear these!) but in the spa itself you do not wear any swimwear. Note also the two spa rooms are single sex designated. Finally, I have read some reviews complaining about size of beds for travellers who are tall. I can only add that every hotel room I have stayed in across Japan has been small by western standards - I would suggest contacting the hotel to check if larger beds are available but this may come at an additional cost. Otherwise, very happy to recommend this hotel.
