We had a very nice stay at Super Hotel Otsuka. The location is in a quieter part of Tokyo, but easily accessible to other areas like Shinjuku and Shibuya by train. The hotel offered a complementary breakfast each morning as well as a free bar for a few hours at night. The rooms are small, but it's what you expect if you've stayed in similar hotels in Tokyo before. We would definitely stay again.

On the first night we weren't aware that you collect your pillow from the lobby before going to your room. Once we discovered this, there weren't any pillows left. The next day we were able to get a new pillow each. Not the end of the world.

The hotel is conveniently located (2-3 min walk) near the subway station. The neighborhood has many shops, malls and restaurants. The Japanese breakfast was scrumptious! They served soups (miso and corn chowder), a couple of vegetable dishes which were usually braised They also served western breakfast items like danish, croissants, yogurts, boiled eggs and cereals. We booked for three nights and some different Japanese breakfast items were served all three days.

The room is very small but that is pretty standard in Tokyo. The elevator is small and slow. So be sure to give yourself more time to check out because they may charge you if you check out past 10 a.m. We left our room at 9:40 a.m. but we had to wait 15 mins for the elevator and waited 10 minutes more in queue at the front desk because there were a lot people in front of us. When we got to the front desk, it was 10:05, they said we were late checking out so they were going to charge us a fee for late check out. We told them we waited 15 mins for the elevator and 10 mins in line for the front desk, They didn't end up charging us but be sure to give yourselves plenty of time.

Very good value for money. Lots of amenities (there were facial mask, bath salts, coffee and mocktails) etc. The location was close to Otsuka station on the JR line so you have easy access to places like Ueno, Tokyo and Shinjuku.

There were some places the cleaners didn't clean properly - ie I did find a bar of used soap behind the tap. Ending time for breakfast was 8:30 on weekdays, which is way too early. I think that the hotel were catering more toward Japanese people before so staff may not be as proficient as other hotels (but nothing Google translate can't solve)

Friendly staff, thoughtful amenities (pillows to beauty products), free drinks downstairs, and laundry on-site. The area is full of nice restaurants and close to a subway stop (not far from Shinjuku)

The breakfast offered a fusion of continental and Japanese options, though neither selection was particularly satisfactory. While complimentary drinks were available, the timeframe for access was quite tight. The wifi speed was quite low, which seems to be common in Japan. The TV channels were primarily in Japanese and connecting my Chromecast wasn't possible due to a locked power outlet. The policy doesn't allow guests.

It is a hotel close to Yamanote station and therefore connected to most things to see in Tokyo including Tokyo station, there are restaurants nearby with good food, as well as supermarkets

The price is a little high although it is the constant in Tokyo, although it includes breakfast, the pillow in the room is very hard with seeds although there are softer ones at the hotel reception

The hotel staff were very friendly, everything in the room was clean and functional. The breakfast each morning was delicious. The staff helped me book a taxi to the airport and tried to show me several more affordable avenues (I was too worried about missing my flight and the summer heat, otherwise I would have used these options!). The Yamanote line is a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

Couple minutes walk from Otsuka station which is part of the yamanote line making it very convenient to get to places around Tokyo. Nice izakayas and small bars around open till late. Fairly quiet neighbourhood.

Shower wasn't hot (fairly lukewarm at highest) and pressure is a bit too high when wanting warmth. Rooms are quiet small so if travelling with a group of friends make sure that you don't bring over sized luggage otherwise it'll be tricky to open them. No microwave, mini fridge doesn't cool that well

Very courteous and helpful staff. The croissants and bread are very tasty. The location very close to the JR station. Cold and silent AC. Window can open. Quality and maintenance of the building.

The rooms are on the small side and especially the bathroom is rather cramped. The bathroom didn’t match the pictures provided. It is a full plastic prefabricated unit. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but the picture showed a conventional type. The hotel is best compared to an Ibis budget regarding the room layout.

Price was very reasonable, especially with included breakfast. The little freebies everyday were super nice, including drinks. Location was awesome, 4 mins walk away from JR Yamanote line. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Extremely clean all around.

Space was pretty tight, especially as a couple with checked luggage, but we made do. One annoyance was that the sink and shower could not be operated at the same time, since it was one system.

This is my third time and I love it. Great position, near to station, supermarket, and many other shops. Free drinks at 6 pm. Very kind staff. Clean.

We can't access the room between 10 am and 3 pm. Even if you didn't request room cleaning you can't go inside. This is quite annoying if you feel tired, not well or you forgot something. Breakfast is lovely but served only until 8.30, too early if on holiday. So I feel I paid for a service that I couldn't use.
