Location to train station, was clean & comfortable with bar fridge & jug to boil water for tea or coffee.

No non Japanese TV channels. Weird that we got a room with 2 oversized twin beds, not one double or qieen.bed, especially given the size of the Hotel. Staff not very.helpful or maybe they only want Japanese guests. We stayed three nights, chose not to get our room cleaned, as we do this wherever we travel. Hotel had deal in recognition & offered 500¥ voucher for each day we opted in for this. . However, staff tried to fob us off with x2 bottles of water until we insisted claiming voucher value to spend in Polt Otto square.

- It was my second stay in Granbinario Tsuruga Hotel. Hotel is literally less than 5 min walk from the station. - Very friendly staff, very polite. Manned reception - so, no fighting with a "Japanese-speaking machine" to check in :) - All amenities are provided (toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, brush, ...). - Rooms are very clean, air-conditioned. Hotel itself is quite new (as of 2024, I think, it's only a couple of years old). By default, the rooms are cleaned daily. They have an option to waive cleaning (per day) - one gets then a voucher for free water bottle of a gift in the local gift store. BTW, each fourth day your room will be cleaned anyway. - One has to choose the time and the dishes for the breakfast the day before: then one gets a breakfast ticket at the reception. They have time slots and 3 standard breakfast types available. Breakfast types are: 2 Japanese-style (one with raw fish and one with cooked/fried fish - if you don't like fish, don't go for it!) and one European-style.

I liked it all. Really good hotel, with a reasonable size (for Japan) room.

The hotel was big and modern, and that was also reflected on the room. It was spacious, with ample space for all your belongings. All the amenities were already in your room so that’s great. The bathroom was clean with a big bathtub. Location was great, only a few minutes from the station and neighboring shops and restaurants. The staff were attentive and friendly!

Location was good. Price was good. There is a Starbucks right next to the hotel! Staff were wonderful. Especially the lovely lady that worked the evening during our stay. She went out of her way, beyond her regular duties, to help us with the issue of our rental car. Unfortunately we did not get her name! We would like offer our sincere thanks to her!

Hotel provided on-site parking but with limited parking spaces. Discounted parking space are offered at nearby parking lots when hotel lot is full.

Great location, close to the station. Very comfortable modern room, and a very generous and functional bathroom too. Breakfast was very nice, and while my trip was too short to make use of other services, I would be glad to stay again in the future. Staff were very professional and I felt an attention to detail that was above par. There is parking available which may suit some travellers, and good nearby restaurants. I note that soon shinkansen is expanding to Tsuruga, so I think the location of this hotel will be appreciated soon by many!

The hotel was fine, no complaints

It was next to the station which meant it was easy to get a train to Kyoto. The breakfast was good, you had to pre-order what style you wanted. There was an ice machine on one of the floors. It is about half an hour walk to a famous shrine.

I don't like hotel's with carpets so I always take slippers. There is never enough wardrobe space or coat hooks in Japanese hotel's

This hotel was gorgeous. Very new and clean. The room was huge, the bathroom was also large and spacious so it was very comfortable. The bed was very big and wide. There were complimentary local beverages in the fridge. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our luggage with the hotel before checking in and after checking out. They gave us bus times and advice on how to get to Matsubara beach and Mizushima. Mizushima was a particularly beautiful place to swim. They also recommended nearby restaurants for dinner. I recommend the Sakana burger place nearby for lunch personally. I had the western style breakfast which was served to me rather than buffet style. It was good. There is also a large Starbucks next to the hotel. This hotel has a good location, very close to the station.

Nothing bad to say, really. Everything was great. There was no laundry service on Sundays or public holidays, or perhaps only within a short time window, but for whatever reason we couldn't use it. A coin laundry on the second floor was available though.

Luxury room and good quality breakfast. Very close to the train and bus station.

You select one of three options for breakfast (so no buffet). Personally, the breakfast was too small for me (but the quality was very good; very tasty)

The breakfast was very good, fresh ingredients n nicely presented. The location was good as it was close to the train station and there were many restaurants around.

It was difficult to climb onto the bed as one side was right next to the wall.

The breakfast was delicious! I choose the breakfast western style during the Christmas event (24th December to 25th December). They offer a special Christmas menu for breakfast. The breakfast western style including the main course, soup, salad, and dessert. I haven't had the chance to try the Japanese-style breakfast yet and I heard it's quite a popular breakfast because of their "Japanese Seafood Rice Bowl" There is an option to eat inside the room or in the restaurant. If you choose and decide to eat breakfast in your room, they will provide a "Bento Box" (a disposable container foods tray) that you can leave inside the room after you finish eating. (They will clean them up after you check out). The hotel location is just nearby the Tsuruga train station. Easily accessible just walking distance within 5 minutes walk. And besides the hotel, there is a Starbucks. Free complimentary mineral water bottle inside the room.

The room carpet and inside the sink have a little bit of stain. The hotel doesn't have an onsen/indoor hot spring facility.
