A unique hotel with excellent service and ammenities. The foyer & shared spaces were charming and we appreciated the warm, friendly welcome from the hotel staff who provided a welcome drink and offered to make us dinner reservations as we checked in. We were escorted to our room, which was extremely spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a lovely view. We were so impressed with the complimentary cookies which had absolutely beautiful Arita porcelain designs. The location was good for visiting all the sights in Saga that we wanted to see and the parking onsite for guests was handy.

The room was great, big and had a blooming sakura tree outside the window. Dinner was delicious. Outdoor onsen awesome.

It was odd, check out time was 11am but while I was taking a shower at 10am, the cleaning staff knocked on the door and then proceeded to try and open the door, and kept trying. It felt very invasive and I had to yell out that someone was still in the room. This lowered my rating. The front desk staff was great however.

We were greeted immediately with umbrellas and a smiley guest executive when we arrived at the hotel car park. We had a nice welcome drink and they made sure to give us a good introduction of the hotel facilities before we headed to our room. The receptionists were always ready to greet us with our keys when we arrived back at the hotel from touring the area. They have a beautifully maintained onsen (indoor and outdoor) with super silky waters that feel great on the skin. The rooms are quite spacious as well and they provide us these beautifully printed cookies of Arita porcelain designs in the room as well as green tea leaves as part of their service. We appreciated the nice hygiene amenities in the bathroom. The hotel is on a pretty steep hill so it is hidden away fr the Main Street but there are many eateries and tea shops within walking distance. Bonus - they are partnered with another nearby onsen hotel and we could use their onsen facilities for free as guests. We had a great time staying there.

Not much of a view from our room on the 4th floor with partial view of the garden but it was comfortable and spacious and quiet and so more than adequate for us.

Very unique hotel not just average onsen ryokan. Breakfast excellent. Very cozy bar with high quality drink selection. Enjoyed the dinner course. Price reasonable. Rooms a bit old but very clean and spacious.

Male onsen doesn’t have outdoor hot spring only available outside the building and need to share for both female and male according to the time slot. Not very convenient because have to put on the cloth to take outdoor bath and take off there and put on again.

Really awesome & this place reminds me of Ye Olde English Inn feel, which is quite hard to come by nowadays. It's nicely maintained & the hotel has the warm feeling cos of the staff. The Onsen water is fantastic & gives a smooth feeling after you soaked in it.

Maybe the pricey Western dinner.

A bit of a wild combination, traditional japanese-style rooms in a british-style hotel with Italian kitchen. Works out really well though. The staff is incredibly helpful and attentive. Feels very posh to visit, though i guess for the price you pay that is to be expected. The rentable private rotenburo is great, although mosquitoes can be annoying. The indoor ofuro is great as well, and there is a yukata available in each room.

its expensive, though you do get alot for the money you spend.

Its a truly unique experience because its a western style Ryokan. Rooms are really clean and spacious, onsen is beautiful and the water quality is really great! The food is one of the best in the ryokans we have stayed, with impeccable service!

Very gorgeous accomodation. Love the fireplace in the reception. So cozy. Onsen was also beautiful. I highly recommend the outdoor one. So serene.

The room was too warm. I didn’t know I could turn the AC off until next morning.

Great location, beautiful property, great service and wonderful staff. The in-house hot spring was great, too. We celebrated our husbands’ big birthday there. The restaurant prepared a special birthday cake for them!

All good.
