I had a very pleasant, short stay. I received prompt responses to any queries I had prior to my arrival. Saleem was very helpful through the check in process. Ahed was our guide for the full day Jeep tour and made sure we got to spend enough time at every location without rushing us. There was tea served at every stop. Plenty of choices for the food during lunch, dinner and breakfast. The tent was huge and comfortable.Something to keep in mind is that the bathroom and cleanliness would be as you would except at a basic camping facility. The communal tents are huge and very comfortable. For dinner we got to experience the Zarb cooking technique and the food was delicious. As a solo female traveller I felt very comfortable through my stay at the camp.

Nothing really, except that I couldn't figure out how to operate the space heater in the tent but with all the blankets provided, really didn't need it for the one night I spent.

Staying at Wadi Rum Quiet Village was an absolutely amazing end to a fantastic holiday in Jordan. I hope the words in this review will be useful to others and the photos will help bring it to life. We chose to stay within the Wadi Rum Protected Area because we wanted an authentic experience away from the lights of Rum town - however, because access is restricted to the Protected Area we were uncertain about the practicalities of getting there! We needn’t have worried because from the moment of booking, communication was responsive and clear. Jose, the reservation manager, contacted us in perfect English describing how the pick-up worked, the range of jeep/camel tours and activities that were available and providing contact details for himself and Saleem (the Quiet Village Manager). During our visit, absolutely everything we planned in advance or decided last minute happened easily and with legendary smiling Jordanian hospitality. The Quiet Village Bedouins are a happy team who run a smooth operation - and somehow manage to share their experiences without compromising them. Our tent was substantial and spacious and included an ensuite shower room with flushing toilet. Everything was immaculately clean. Additional warm rugs were provided and the traditional furnishings kept the wind and sand out. Fellow guests were aged 8-75 ish and included a family with young children, sand boarders, a group of rock climbers, backpackers - as well as regular tourists (like us) wanting to see the sights. It is appropriately called the Quiet Village and is set in the most stunning landscape. There was a full moon on our first night, but the location of the Quiet Village at the base of a huge rock formation meant the moonlight was blocked and after a substantial evening meal we sat around the fire, sipping tea, listening to traditional music and enjoying the stars. Magic. We slept like babes and after breakfast the following day we took our jeep tour.

Beautiful place, well organized, easy communication, very nice and rich dinner and breakfast that we ate only half of that. We asked for 3h ride with 4x4 to see the most visited places, then had additional lunch and then 1h camel ride (from pick up location in the village to the camp. It was 1h 15m ride) - both well organized again, prices as claimed, we were very satisfied and happy for choosing this camp. Wishing the owner successful season.

I almost booked an expensive bubble camp but came upon the great reviews of Village Quiet Camp and also couldn't resist the amount of money I can save from the bubble tents, so decided to give this a try. Turns out it's a very pleasant experience! The staff is very nice, the room is quite clean (not to a five star hotel standard but in terms of a desert camp, it's quite clean, especially comparing to some other camps we stayed in Jordan during the trip). The dinner was great! The main dish is grilled chicken and potato cooked under the sand, the chicken actually is a bit dry, but everything else is superb. There was an eggplant dish, I haven't no idea how it was cooked but it's out of the world! Even the hummus and the typical tomato and cucumber salad that you can find in every Jordan restaurant and home is the tastiest we had in the whole trip in Jordan. I travelled with my parents and husband and they all agree with my comments about the food :) Our rooms don't really have WiFi but the group dining area has. Not the fastest in the world but totally good enough for basic browsing for entertainment.

There wasn't really hot water for shower. There was plenty of water though just no hot water for shower. But it's in the desert so I kinda expected that, so wasn't really a big issue for me.

The hosts were kind and helpful, the room was spacious and we loved spending the evening after dinner in the common area next to the fire. Communication was great and organization of transfer from/to the village and excursions easy. Contrary to what we read from other camps the transfers are included and we were not pushed to book any tours but ended up doing two which were great. Food choice is limited but great. I‘d stay here again!

Nothing really, but if minor improvements could be done concerning the private bathroom: light is dark and shower curtains would prevent from bathroom being flooded after showering.

I spent 9 days in this camp this summer and my experience was one of the best of my life.. Saleem is the more welcoming person that I have ever met. His team is proffesional and very kind. The place is amazing and the tour services they provide are the best I have ever had. The food was incredible and very tasty. I will come back for sure in the future.. I met other travelers because is the perfect place to do so.. I have seen very nice spots and other places off the beaten track. I had lunch cooked in the desert and explore it from a bedouin perspectve, wich is something that other camps cannot offer. If you want to live a unique experience this is the place. Thank you very much to all the team and specially to Saleem!!

The staff were excellent. Very kind, honest, and courteous. We enjoyed the fire and music with them and the time the took to tell us about Wadi Rum and the culture of the area over tea after dinner. Mohammed was an excellent guide during our half day tour. The locations was also very good. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean. The camp haas everything you would want and expect for a comfortable stay at Wadi Rum.

I searched all over for a quiet camp with an authentic feel. I canceled two luxury bubble camps and I am glad that I followed my feeling to stay at Wadi Rum Quiet Village. It was quiet, peaceful, clean, and the food was amazing. Friends of mine stayed at a luxury bubble and they did not like it and wished they would have come to my camp. They said it was loud and very commercial. As I sat under the stars with tea and live, local music from one of the staff. What a great location, next to one of the most beautiful rock massifs. I stayed two nights and would come back again.

I was there when it was very hot so the tent at night was warm for me. It did eventually cool off. The windows gave some ventilation and it was better yet when I opened the door.

Staying in a bedouin tent in the desert is an unforgettable experience. Obviously it doesn't have the same comfort and amenities as a hotel, but that's part of the fun and the whole experience. It felt decent, totally appropriate to the location and it will not be at all uncomfortable for people who are not very demanding or used to luxuries. All staff members were very kind and friendly. The food is good and it is interesting to see how the bedouins make the "zarb", which is explained to the guests of the camp. We really enjoyed lying on the floor relaxing and listening to live bedouin music, while looking at the stars. The desert is a perfect place to do this. We strongly recommend a jeep tour, preferably all day (until sunset).

We think that the conditions in the shared bathrooms could be improved. A small renovation would be a plus for the guests.

Honestly the entire experience was incredible! The hospitality was 10/10, the breakfast and dinners has everything we needed and more. And the 3 hour jeep tour was exactly what I had hoped. All in all my experience at Quiet Village was exceptional.

A small heater in the tents would have been great as the mornings were quite chilly (I was there in November).
