Very clean, staff is incredibly friendly. Metal detectors and bag scanners to ensure guest safety. They helped my fiancé with an engagement and it was so nice! I’d absolutely stay here again. The breakfast was great and the rooftop is beautiful.

With events going on at the hotel, outdoor security is not the best at getting people parked and keeping traffic flowing. On weekends I recommend meeting your driver or uber on the street to avoid delays

Great smiling and friendly staff. They even left a large bunch of flowers to celebrate my wife and my wedding anniversary. Loved that the cafe at the entrance is open 24/7. And three restaurants in addition inside the one property is great. Also loved the fresh juice bar and the general buzz of this ‘social hotel’. And their app is really great as you can check your current overall bill at anytime and I found it very up to date and accurate. Really nice use of an app.

For me the only downside is it lacks a private space for guests outside to chill by a pool or in a garden. They do have a small plunge pool however it is surrounded by the restaurant tables so is more ornamental than a place to take in some sun and a swim. Perhaps one day they can purchase a little of the neighbouring land and create this space which would then make the hotel perfect.

The Social House seems to be the new face of Nairobi, it is like someone asked the questions of what is now expected from Hospitality and they have certainly listened and delivered these expectations, the normal reception counter has been replaced with a front desk that allows for full transparency, this adds a warmth and personal touch to your check ins and outs, the food and drinks outlets Copper, The Other Room and Inca are providing food fit for casual lunch, romantic dates/settings or lively brunch with excellent live bands and happy crowds, great selection of beers, wines, mocktails and cocktails, eclectic well dressed and colourful crowds of different age groups all mixed well with indoor and outdoor seating, cafe area with freshly brewed coffee and fresh baked treats on offer, staff training and recruitment is to be commended as room was kept immaculate and pristine at all times, room service prompt and hot on delivery, wait staff attentive, informative and ready to engage in friendly banter but never overbearing, security are a presence on arrival and even with friendly small talk, familiarity and daily chats the protocols are never skipped and this is comforting, it would be unfair to single out and name staff members as standout personalities as each member took full ownership of their responsibilities, while there are a lot of well established Hotels in Nairobi offering the five star experience of luxury to choose from it is my opinion that this Hotel is the only one who personally delivers it to you as a guest or day tripper, for me it is leading the way in hospitality excellence and surpassing expectations in all aspects. Kenya? Yes you can at The Social House, it is a brave step they have taken and I hope they maintain the high bar they have set and wish them all the best of luck and hopefully others will try to catch up with them, again this is just my opinion as an experienced traveller and you should visit and form your own,

Nothing for me to complain about

The hotel is really nice and modern, very clean and comfortable with very helpful and professional staff. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for. They had a nice surprise on arrival, the transfer they organised was great, the breakfast also great. One of the nicest things about the hotel is the rooftop bar/restaurant. They serve Peruvian food and sushi, and the food is amazing and so is the atmosphere. The music was a bit loud, but overall the place is really lively and nice. I would happily return and recommend to others

Security was really good. Very comfortable rooms. Good range of restaurants.

Restaurant service was really slow for the whole visit. Putting expenses on room account seemed to be challenging, and instead of just settling at the end, the hotel wanted security for a set amount which, when utilised, meant I couldn’t charge more expenses to the room. This was strange as I wanted to settle account at the end of the stay.

had a wonderful time at the social house. The staff were great, the pillows and beds were super comfy, the restaurants were lovely and very convenient to have and as a solo traveller it was one of the most secure hotels I have had the pleasure of staying at. My stay was great and I'll definitely be back. A special thanks to Faridah who was always so willing to help when I had questions and checked in to make sure I was having a great stay. When I'm back in Nairobi, I'll be going back to the social house without a doubt.

The pool wasn't available due to renovation which was a bit disappointing but not that big a deal.

The room, the decor, the staff.

I expected the food to be better. At Copper, the food took about an hour to come out + it was cold when it did come out.

Beautiful experience. Hotel is small and cosy. It really gives off the vibes of a social house. The staff are very friendly and helpful while always professional. F&B outlets offer a good variety of options. (even room service pizza was incredibly good) 😊 Room is perfect for a quick stay. All amenities are very good quality. Highly recommended.

Nothing to dislike

We loved this place! It was like being in the middle of Nairobi of the future rather than Nairobi of the past. Great staff, fabulous check-in experience. The food was good quality and tasty.

As a vegan, it would be nice to see a few more plant-based options on the menu.

There's genuinely no finer and more relaxing, contemporary place to spend time in a bustling city like Nairobi than The Social House. Despite what its humble name might convey, it's a near-perfectly conceived gem of an establishment and definitely one for those who appreciate high end comfort and interior design style in an intimate, boutique setting. It was an absolute joy to spend 5 nights there. From the beauty of the contemporary African-infused architectural detail, to the gracious hospitality of all the staff (special thanks to the wonderful Vikki and Ruth, Sally and Aisha in The Living Room & Other Room restaurants, plus Gideon, Immaculate, Francis and the entire front of House team - all of whom deserve a big bonus!). They were such welcoming hosts. If you're after a swanky living space with ultra hi tech specs (the in-room tech is so impressive), gorgeously fitted and impeccably clean (bathroom 🏆) finishings - then The Social House is most definitely the best place to stay in town. The dining options are first class too. The 'Inca' rooftop restaurant menu is superb. Highly recommend The Social House experience and hope to visit again.

Really hard to find any negatives at The Social House, as the service is truly first class and the staff are sharp and attentive. Only wish I could've stayed a bit longer to be honest.
