Excellent location, staff friendly and helpful, walk to everywhere in Waikiki or bus at doorstep to go further.

The rooms are looking tired and dated,but they are clean and have all facilities.

- Staff were very communicative and helpful. We had some issues with Booking.com and the hotel’s system, which made our reservation not show up for a few hours. Yet they still let us access the downstairs amenities so we had a place to put our stuff and generally chill out. Very awesome people! - Pool area was super nice and gorgeous at night. The restaurant has the best fries for 6$ you’ll ever get that are exactly their value, if not more. - In Waikiki and very close to the beach, just a 3 minute walk! - On-theme decor within the lobby and rooms is very cute.

- Beds felt a little cheap. - Some of the bamboo-esque sink faucets will spray at you if you’re not careful. - Jacuzzi can burn if you’re not careful.

Parking entry/exit ramp to basement garage is very steep and it is impossible to see the pedestrians crossing at the street level until your car is at that level, resulting in a hazardous situation for pedestrians. The hotel has posted a sign notifying the driver to sound horn to alert pedestrians to a car exiting the garage, however, it faces the driver entering the garage and should be facing the driver exiting the garage.

Location was excellent. Liked the bus to Ala Moana shopping Center was across the street. Many good restaurants close by. A/C worked well. Sufficient supplies in unit. Very nice, friendly staff. Comfy loungers by the pool.

The bed was too soft for me. Hot tub never worked. Loud construction noise close by. Way too costly in/out cleaning fee. My lanai looked into units across the way. Not very nice lanais but one could go sit by pool area and take your own drink and food.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Situated in the heart of Waikiki, just two blocks from the beach and one block from Kalakaua Street renowned for its dining and shopping, its location couldn't be better. The premises are immaculate, and the service is exceptional. Highly recommended for those looking to explore the island! In summary, it offers excellent value for your money. Highly recommended.

The only suggestion I have is to increase the frequency of room cleaning services. However, when I requested it, they promptly took care of the room. Thanks!

It was very well located near the beach, with everything nearby and it was value for money. It was very useful to have a kitchenette in the room so we could make tea and coffee, self cater for breakfast and the occasional evening meal. Laundry facilities were available, as well as beach chairs and body boards for the beach. Staff were helpful.

The hotel is a bit tired and dated, but we still considered it met all our requirements.

Great price, good sized room. Bed was comfortable. Loved the fact you only pay for room cleaning if you want it. We stayed for 2 weeks so you get free room service and sheets changed after 7 days. Was perfect as we keep it tidy ourselves. We got any towels, toiletries, coffee etc from reception if you need.

Nothing, the property is a little dated but we loved it.

Being just a couple of blocks away from the ocean front was brilliant - able to wander from hotel to beach front in swimming gear without wallets and valuables - or enjoying early morning walks by the ocean. Bamboo Waikiki has well appointed rooms with comfort and cleanliness their top priority. Pleasantly surprised at the spaciousness of the room - with a very comfortable bed and nice linen. Having air conditioning is a must in Honolulu - which allowed us to close doors when wanting to 'nest' and relax in the room. The pool and restaurant facilities are exceptional - food fantastic - with friendly hosts and a lovely fun vibe to enjoy and relax into "holiday mode". Five stars from me - Mahalo Bamboo Waikiki !!

Next time I'll request a room higher up - level 3 city views located above pool and restaurant facilities tended to be a bit noisy with Saturday night customers (if balcony doors were open). The restaurant trading hours of 5 to 10pm meant it wasn't right through the night...

Great location and loved the spacious rooms. Pool area was so inviting.Room had a fridge and microwave which was nice. The hotel provided shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Was Hawaiian Tropic.

No hot water for several days. They did get fixed 2 days before we checked out. The restaurant was closed for several days. We arrived on a Saturday and it opened the following Wednesday. Some of the staff were not super friendly. The beds were too hard.

We had read the reviews and went in with an open mind knowing the price, and brought our own beach towels. When we arrived, we were accidentally put into the wrong room, which had an unmade bed and dishes in the sink. At this point, we were worried. One call to the front desk, though, and we were in the right room, which was clean and perfect for what we needed (a kitchenette and a balcony). The location is unbeatable, especially for the price. You are a three block walk from the heart of the beach. Some things to be aware of: there is no maid service for your room. This means collecting your own toilet paper and taking your garbage to the disposal in the parking garage (aka: basement). There is also a slight shortage of beach towels. Twice during our stay, they were out when we asked for clean ones and we used the ones that we had brought with us. You do need to reserve parking and the spots are TIGHT, even with a compact car. Previous reviews mentioned construction, which we didn’t experience during our stay. The pool area, we felt, is beautiful. Yes the hotel is slightly dated, but it has charm. If you are looking for 4 or 5 star, this may not be for you, but I would happily rebook in a heartbeat!
