The location is perfect - right in the heart of Kuldiga, just a few meters from the most popular restaurants and cafeterias, and in front of the famous pedestrian Liepājas Street with multiple artisan shops and cafes. The staff was super nice, friendly, and forthcoming! All our requests or inquiries met a perfect solution or answer. We also liked the main dishes that we ordered from the restaurant menu, even when we were far too late for the opening hours, the kitchen staff made the impossible possible, and we enjoyed our late dinner. Special thanks for the white sauce that comes with the potato puree and for the delicious green tea with ginger and citrus fruits! A parking spot easily accessible from the reception was included in the price.

The breakfast was below our expectations, with limited options available. There was no sausage or any hot meat, and yogurt or cottage cheese were also missing. The absence of a toaster left us with no hot toast option. Our air conditioner was not functioning, and it was very hot in the room during the night.

Bedroom on top floor had small windows and no functioning AC , so was bit stuffy in room ! Receptionist told us to use parking place in front of hotel , and said it’s free on Sundays / holidays ( we stayed on Sunday during midsummer holidays ) , but we got parking ticket next morning , and we were told it’s not their parking lot, and they can’t do anything about it! That’s kinda ruined all the beauty of city ( as we asked 3 times if it’s ok to park front of hotel and were told it’s ok ) !!

The hotel is located right in the town center (15 min walk from the bus station). The receptionist (Laura) and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Even though I arrived early before check-in time, I was able to check in early and got an extra breakfast. The clean room had a personalized touch with a secretary furniture that made working with a laptop comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. There was also a special hanging board to hang your shoes on. The hotel offers a cafe and a restaurant inside and on a terrace in the yard until 8 p.m. In smaller hotels in Latvia, you have to order your breakfast separately at the reception. My second breakfast, which was specially prepared for me, consisted of many things like fruit, bread, omelette, cheese and so on. I was served as if I was the only guest in the hotel. Since I stayed from Sunday to Monday and not over the weekend, the hotel offered very good value for money. Kuldigas is a popular tourist destination, so on the weekends almost all hotels are often fully booked and charge a higher price.

Excellent location, in the very center of old Town. City park, river Venta, old bridge, waterfalls are within walking distance, 1-5 minutes by foot. Quite many restaurants and cafes nearby. Small supermarket is about 10 minutes away. Free spacious parking. Nice staff. It was a bit cold in our room, so staff gave us an extra blanket.

Payment is by cash only, however, ATM machine is on the other side of the street. You need to inform exact time you will come for breakfast and choose main meal in advance. Not the best option when you are on vacation :)

Nice hotel just in town centre. Room was clean and fresh. Kids loved as it was in two levels. Bathroom was also nice. The extra bed was very comfortable and suitable also for adult. The staff was great as very helpfull as we had some changes in our original stay plan and I firstly had problems to get contact with booking.com (this was solved later too). Private parking makes it easy to stay here.

Excellent staff! Helpful and polite. A very pleasant experience! A spacious room on two levels, a lovely courtyard with a small river flowing along the edge, perfect for taking your pet for an early morning walk. There is also a hotel terrace where you can enjoy breakfast or just relax. The hotel is in the heart of the beautiful old town of Kuldiga. Highly recommended.

A lovely hotel in central Kuldiga. The location is perfect for seeing the town. The room was nice and everything was very clean.

They need to get new mattresses. They have seen their better day. I have stayed there for years and can remember what a vibrant, lively place it was with such a nice restaurant and bar staff to enjoy a drink while there. All of that is closed now, unfortunately. It would be nice if they could reopen the restaurant and bar.

Good tv with netflix for the evening chilling, fridge, teapots and all the cups were a plus, only suggestion would be some wine glasses. Bed was quite comfy also. Location is right in the city heart, nearby are some nice restaurants/bars/shopping.

Jet function in bath did not work, glass door to the bathroom needs adjusting so it can close and the window on the first floor also not able to close, one of the mechanisms was missing.

The breakfast was amazing! In fact, there was so much that I could only manage half. Photos are attached.

Sound proofing between rooms is always an issue. Am sure that I would have been assigned a different room had I asked, but solved the challenge by putting a movie I was watching on my ipad on normal volume. I always travel with an eye-mask so not being able to close the blinds in the roof windows was ok.

Perfect location. Wonderful breakfast. Comfortable, very large and romantic room. Very helpful staff. In overall very good impression left.

Comparing to our previous stay around 10 years ago feels small decay, but otherwise all was good.
