This hostel was a pleasant surprise. Given that Lux is usually expensive compared to Germany, this youth hostel offers a fair price especially for single travellers. Next to the train station, very friendly welcome and support by the staff, female 4 bed dorm, very clean and neat, comfy bed, enough storage and hooks for stuff, toilet & shower separate. Did not hear any neighbouring rooms. Nice terraces on first and second floor. Did not try the restaurant, but the prices seemed okay. Would stay here again.

Breakfast could have a few more options (like boiled eggs, veggies, mini croissants, vegan things like hummus), especially because you cannot opt out. But it was okay

Hostelling International Esch/Alzette Youth Hostel warmly welcomes everyone to its new building near the main train station. The hostel staff is highly professional and speaks several languages ​​to accommodate individual needs. The beds are very comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. The private five-bed room has its own toilet and shower. Lockers and a small table are provided. The hostel has a restaurant and bar with delicious dishes, including a fresh organic salad buffet and a soup of the day at an affordable price. The breakfast buffet closes at 9 a.m.

Really friendly and multilingual staff. New, modern and clean hostel with spacious rooms and a large locker for each guest. Great location right next to the train station, a short walk from the city centre and a 15-20 min walk to the Kulturfabrik conference centre. Beds were fairly comfortable, shower was great. Nice to have opening windows. Even though our room faced the train station it didn't really bother me at night even with the windows open - there's barely running any trains at night and earplugs work a charm. Metal shutters instead of curtains in front of the window was surprising but actually worked well. Breakfast buffet being included is great, especially since they had 5 vegan spreads and soy milk.

Would've loved some privacy blinds for each bunk bed! Pillow was old of poor quality, time to replace those. Was pretty warm in the room, either a fan or ventilating the hallways better would be a good solution.

Around 25 minutes by train from Luxembourg Central Staion. A very good choice for visiting Luxembourg the City. Super friendly staff, rooms clean and efficiently designed. Lamps and sockets near every bed, automatic window blinds, clean bathroom, clean bedsheets. The restaurant was comfortable and the breakfast was a good start of the day, even if not the most luxurious.

A big school trip „slept” on the same floor as me, and kids running around until late was a bit unpleasant. Also this huge group descending for breakfast at the last moment would make it impossible for any individual guest to grab anything to eat. It’s not the hostels fault, but definitely a thing to consider.

Right near train station so very convenient. Kinda far from Lux City though. Staff was very friendly and they offered great Bofferding beer in the bar. I didn’t see many young people but it was during the week in April so that’s probably why. It was mostly older people. They offer several singles which are spotless. Bring your own pillow though. Very clean. Nice bar staff. Overall, I had a good visit.

Excellent location. Exceptionally polite & friendly staff. Spacious individual rooms with good bathrooms that were spotless. Very good, healthy breakfast buffet and great value evening set menu with freshly cooked food, not heated up processed food).

The hostel would be outstanding apart from the noise management. Even though there are sound proof doors on each floor, having a loud karaoke or thumping music until late at night is going to disturb guests. I don’t mind some music, but the volume at which it was played was unacceptable. The receptionist had to take a phone call and couldn’t hear a thing. Most people are using the hostel as a place to sleep, not for entertainment, and if they can’t sleep because of the noise, they will be unhappy.

Right next to the train station within walking distance to shops, supermarket and park. Rooms were spacious and Bathroom setup worked well. Great breakfast. The place felt safe and was well set up.

Dinner at restaurant was mediocre in taste and in service. No soap in shower. Room was stuffy even with window opened and ear plugs are recommended because of outside noise

I liked that it was close to the train station, made it really convenient and easy to get around, plus was close to the city centre.

For my room (I stayed in a twin, single room), there wasn’t any soap in the bathroom, though I had my own hand sanitizer thankfully. Also, the fitted sheet they gave me didn’t fit the bed. While the room had really thick windows that blocked out the sound of the street below, the night I stayed there was a soccer match, so there were cars honking past midnight that made it difficult to sleep.

1. You are not allowed to eat anything (not even biscuits) inside the room. We were informed that only drinking water is allowed. 2. Water comes out from the bathing stall, and there is no way to drain it. 3. The hotel address is wrong. 4. The breakfast menu was very, very limited. Half sections were already closed by the time we reached the restaurant.

It was a nice stay . I didn’t stay in the dorm , I stayed in a room by myself . It was difficult to get to Esch the first day and the bus was quite a long ride . But once I figured out the train , it was all good . Get to Gare de Luxembourg. Take a train going to Rodange via Esch and alight from the train at Esch . The hostel js just 2mins from the train station.
