We have stayed at more expensive hotels that were nowhere near as good as the Sonnenhof. It is perfectly situated close to both Luxembourg and France. The attention to detail is superb, the staff are extremely attentive and friendly and the food is out of this world. We have stayed here 3 times in the last two months and never felt the need to eat anywhere else. The standard has never dropped, the rooms are lovely and roomy, the breakfast buffet is exceptional and the internet quick. Simply the best.

The location is fabulous and the hotel lovely. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and next time we are passing that way this will now be our go-to hotel for our stop-over on our way to the Alps or further afield.

The only tiny niggle was the pillows. While I get that good old-fashioned down pillows are a challenge for modern hotels, I find most hotel pillows unsatisfactory these days. The pillows here were by far not the worst we have had but not as comfy as those traditional down-filled ones.

Everything about the hotel was wonderful. Ideal location, close to Schengen and the A8. Our bedroom was huge, well equipped and very comfortable. The bar was well stocked and excellently run. The restaurant was smart and busy. Our dinner and breakfast were of the highest quality and the service was efficient and friendly.

Elegant clean good size room. Good breakfast. Restaurant was not open which we were informed before hand but believed that it was open just for staying guests with a limited choice meal. We were able to find a good restaurant nearby.

No one to greet us, just a key at reception. We only met one employee at breakfast who was pleasant but didn’t ask whether we had had a good stay etc.

Location was good for us to explore the Moselle on the Lux side. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! The grounds were lovely!

We had requested our rooms to be close together since we were a family of 4 traveling together; they put 1 of the rooms down the hall from the other however, they were on the same floor. Would have preferred to be next to each other but it was fine.

Large room, friendly staff, dog friendly - hotel side (dogs not allowed in restaurant, but fine on the terrace) Plenty of free parking, good food in the restaurant in the evenings, reasonably priced. Easy to find.

Was surprised at how busy/noisey the road was outside the hotel.

Great location, close to the autobahn. Good parking. Very comfortable rooms. Lovely bar, restaurant and conservatory. Beautiful garden and views. Friendly and professional staff. Excellent dinner.

Shower temperature could be hotter.

Very quiet location. Cosy and warm inside and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Excellent breakfast, we were even served early on a Saturday as we wanted to leave by 8 o’clock. Lovely big bedroom which was slightly chilly but there was an additional blanket in the cupboard. Parking was easy too

We like everything about this hotel. It is the perfect location when travelling between our home in Austria and our visits to family and friends in UK. Friendly staff. Good sized rooms. Kettle in the room. Excellent restaurant. Be sure to reserve a table.

Close to the French border, nice environment. Perfect restaurant, really delicious food. Breakfast is served since 6:30, good for business travelers. The minor point is the coffee quality. Room was big, clean. Bathroom was perfect, shower and water pressure very good without any compromises. Heated floor in the bathroom eventhough a little bit cold in the room.
