From the moment you arrive, the staff greets you very friendly. They open the doors for you, take care of your luggage and you get a drink on arrival. The staff was through the whole stay alway very friendly and helpful. The afternoon tea was very good and is something you should try. We’ve tried both of the restaurants and they were both good. For breakfast, there is a small buffet and you can choose more than 10 different dishes, both local and western. They help you with booking a tour and help you choose the best options. We booked the private landrover tour to the tea gardens, mossy forest and strawberry farms and we would recommend to book this upon arrival.

Everything was nice from the beginning to the end. Only remark we have is that some outdoor spaces can use some renovation.

Our stay at Cameron Highlands Resort surpassed all our expectations. The staff, the care, the premises, everything were on point for us to have a wonderful time for our sister’s retreat. I am really happy we chose to go with them in spite of some of the comments on the google. Just to be specific, there are 3 issues mainly mentioned by others and why I don't think they are a problem. 1) The fan is away from the bed - It really doesn't matter, especially because of point 2. 2) No AC - You honestly don't need it, they do have a ventilation system when switched on circulates air perfectly so you don't feel stuffy. 3) Noise from the street - Nights are usually quiet and we stayed there at really busy traffic times and we weren't disturbed at all. It means a lot coming from me as I am a super light sleeper. A special note of thanks for Shahad and the rest of the team at The Dining Room for helping us wade through our stay with great food and excellent service. They made us feel at home. They all are a class apart.

Nothing, if you plan to go to Cameron just stay with them, that's it.

Our one-night stay at Cameron Highlands Resort was nothing short of magical. From the moment we stepped in, we were transported to a different era — the entire property exudes an old-English charm, like something out of the early 90s. Warm, cozy, and full of character, the ambience was absolutely pitch-perfect for a mountain retreat. The staff were incredibly courteous and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. A simple but thoughtful gesture really stood out — we had brought strawberries from a nearby farm, and they kindly washed and beautifully presented them for us without us even asking. That’s the kind of personalized service that makes a stay truly memorable. The common areas of the resort are equally impressive — from a charming grand hall with a fireplace to large koi ponds filled with majestic fish. It all adds to the resort’s serene and sophisticated atmosphere. Breakfast was served à la carte and every bite was divine. You could tell great care went into the flavors and presentation — it felt more like a fine-dining experience than a typical hotel breakfast. If there’s one thing I regret, it’s that we couldn’t stay longer. I genuinely wish I had at least one more night to soak it all in, but we had a flight to catch. Still, this brief escape will stay with us for a long time. Highly, highly recommended — whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat into the hills, Cameron Highlands Resort delivers an experience that is both nostalgic and luxurious.

Nothing!

A charming luxury retreat tucked away in the Cameron Highlands. If you’re looking to escape the busy cities, this resort is a fantastic choice. The service is top-notch, and the staff were genuinely amazing throughout my stay. One of the highlights was the complimentary tour led by Madi, a passionate local guide from the Cameron Highlands. His love for the area truly shines through, and he’s incredibly knowledgeable—definitely the go-to person for guided tours or any questions about the region. The resort itself is cozy and elegant, though it can get quite chilly at night, so come prepared! Pro tip: Don’t miss out on their afternoon tea set—I found out about it a bit too late, but it looked absolutely delightful. A truly lovely and relaxing stay overall.

The resort is away from the city center - though everything is accessible by grab (PS: not many grab cars, so better to order in advance). As a guest, you will have the tendency to just stay in 😅 There’s a cozy atmosphere to the hotel, but since the doors are often left open to let the cool breeze in, most guests tend to stay in their rooms rather than gather in the common areas.

Cameron Highlands Resort was amazing. I travel regularly, but never have I experienced such excellent service and well trained staff. From the front desk, to the restaurant/bar waiters, to the room attendant, ... every single person was so welcoming and caring. The colonial building itself is beautiful and well maintained. We particularly enjoyed the high tea, cozy evenings at the fireplace, and the delicious breakfast.

The staff were excellent. The service was polite and professional from the moment I stepped out of my car, and all the way to my room. The food quality was good. I lost a piece of jewellery and I reported it to the reception. I only realised after I left the hotel and got home in Kuala Lumpur. After 2 days, and accepting I lost my ring, the Manager Kimie contacted me. He asked me to verify my ring which I did. The ring was returned to me personally. I was so delighted and most of all very touched that the staff has such high level of professionalism and integrity. Absolutely wonderful experience.

An extremely comfortable 5 star stay. The staff were exceptional, from the concierge to the managers and restaurant teams. They went out of their way to make our stay memorable and personal. There are different spaces in the hotel to relax / eat - for example, a lovely library with comfortable chairs and a fireplace, beside which a drink from the bar can be enjoyed. There are 3 different restaurant spaces - all beautiful and the food was of exceptional quality and a great selection of choices. We loved the Steam boat restaurant and staff so much, we ate there 3 nights in a row. The hotel is so beautiful that you just want to stay, relax and enjoy the ambiance.

Nothing could be improved - it was perfect

My stay at Cameron Highlands Resort was comfortable overall. The rooms were nice, though the bathrooms were quite small and not very comfortable. The dining experience was disappointing - dinner at the restaurant wasn't great, and breakfast was just average with limited choices. The biggest problem was the noise disturbance. For two nights in a row, there was loud music coming from the empty room next door, where the TV had been left on with the classic channel playing at full volume. While the resort was pleasant in many ways, these issues did affect my stay. With some improvements, it could be much better.

Charming staff, very well trained waiters, and a decent menu of well executed dishes (Western and Asian). High tea wasn't especially glamorous but hit the spot. Brilliant location though not especially beautiful views from the hotel (which itself is quite attractive). Wish I had my golf clubs as the course across the road looks decent. Hotel arranged excellent guides to mossy forest and plantations etc. Comfortable rooms. Nice gardens/borders. Gym and spa looked solid though didn't use. Shower was really nice. Open fire in the lounge was appreciated. Guests were well mannered.

Rooms need a bit of a refresh. Carpets, upholstery. Not terrible though. I didn't like how open the hotel was (front doors always open, common areas connected to interior courtyards). It's a bit chilly and somewhat undermines some of the British style cozy library/lounge vibes. Maybe open doors are good feng shui - in which case fair enough, I just didn't find it comfortable. Each to his own. Internet a bit sketchy though ok - don't arrange an important teams meeting. Didn't have any cigars :) But very nice hotel. Probably deserves an upgrade and a price increase. The next 5 years will be important for this hotel.
