From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by friendly staff who were happy to provide recommendations for restaurants, massages, and local sites. We had a fantastic time at this accommodation, which was truly wonderful. The location was great, close to eateries and local areas, making it easy to get around. Our room was spotless and well-appointed, with any requests met with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble. This was the best hotel of our entire trip, and its unique artwork made it a standout. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Wifi worked a treat and was fast and connected every time.

There was not one thing we didn’t like

Debbie hotel manager is the most exceptional help and supportive which made our stay in Ipoh as one of the best. Her English is good and very cheerful. She guided us all the places and timings worth watching. She gave us all sorts of transportation options from expensive to most reasonable, which was upto us as guests to decide depending on guest's budget. She even helped me by giving her personal laptop to sort out some urgent my office matters, because my own laptop stopped working. We booked suite, which had 2 rooms on 2 different floors. Bottom room was with 1 king size bed, clean sheets and comfortable mattress. Upper floor room had 2 separate beds, with study table, chairs and couches. Both floors had huge bathrooms and in clean condition. My 11 year old son was so thrilled to have his own set up at upper floor. This is not a 5 star hotel, so we weren't expecting exclusive services but it's worth every penny living here. Especially Debbie and other staff were very helpful which made our stay even better.

Bedrock is a nice hotel with a kind and helpful staff. Our room was huge with an unbelievably comfortable bed, a large bathroom, including a hairdryer, bathtub, shower, and two sinks. The a/c was excellent. A hot and cold filtered water system was in the room with a refrigerator. Also provided in the room were coffee, tea, and two much-appreciated complimentary cold drinks. The wi-fi was super fast. Breakfast was quite nice, including a choice of a Malay or Western dish. Fruit, cakes, sandwich fixings, toast, and other items were provided, including oat milk, which we always appreciate.

Clever and arty decor, bit eclectic with the Warhol type prints amidst the dinosaur sculptures and fossil like stones with faux portraits with dog faces n Chinese vases. Decent breakfast for those guests who aren’t haring to go out for Ipoh hawker fare nearby. Try the coffee. It’s slightly sweet from the beans having been roasted with sugar. Beds comfy and water filter in room.

Hot water wasn’t hot at midnight then scorching hot in the morning. Staff said categorically only two Nespresso capsules per day per room. Some wear and tear seen in the bathroom wall of room 3 near the door. Location though within walking distance of good food joints is insalubrious at night. Single ladies should taxi back. Some of the food places close early so rubbish bags left out at night attract rats.

The rooms that we stayed are clean and spacious. The hotel is conveniently located near many famous eateries, all within a 10-minute walk. The owner, Debbie, and her staff are friendly and helpful.

The breakfast is simple and nice, but unfortunately, there are only two options to choose from. It would be great to have more variety. However, it’s not a major issue since there are many restaurants nearby, making it easy to walk out for breakfast.

Having only about 10 rooms, it’s a small, cosy boutique hotel. I really do love the feel of the hotel. Debbie and her staff are very attentive to guests. Very friendly and helpful to our queries and needs. Upon check in, we were showed to our rooms with a quick tutorial on using the equipment in the room. The water dispenser made drinking water so much easier. With 3 different temperatures, there’s no hassle getting hot/room temperature/cold water. An absolutely amazing stay!

We arrived late at the hotel after a long drive and was grateful to be greeted by very friendly staff. Check-in process was fast and straight forward. The room size was reasonable and clean. Toilet was clean and flushing system was good. The breakfast in the next morning was great too. You get to choose between Nasi Lemak or the American breakfast with some other extra sides to ensure that you have a good meal before the start of your day! We parked right outside the hotel and accessibility for the elderly was easy. After a long day out, we returned to the hotel while it was pouring heavily. Upon our arrival, the staff came out immediately with their umbrellas. We were shocked and appreciative at the same time. Its the same gesture that counts and I thank you so much for the great experience. My family will be back for sure.

Bedrock Hotel is ideally centrally located in Ipoh - the hotel is clean, modern, comfortable and welcoming - moreover, the onsite owners have created a very interesting hotel experience !! - their artwork and fabulous 'rock collection' !! - you could be forgiven for thinking you were in a museum's geological gallery !! - despite their being no pool, no gym, no balconies, and a basic but satisfying breakfast selection - we really enjoyed our stay and the ebullience of our host Debbie - we highly recommend this hotel for an Ipoh short stay

for the money paid and the location in Ipoh - not having a pool nor having room balconies was easily compensated ..

Bedrock hotel is very nice and every piece of furniture is picked with care. The owner is lovely, very welcoming and helpful. He gave us very useful suggestions and organised for us a last minute trip to visit the surrounding areas. Our room was very big and comfortable. Wi-Fi available, air conditioning and filtered water. In terms of location it is not far from the old town (walking distance) and the neighbourhood is lively and full of places to eat and have and walk around.

The hotel has a great style and is well maintained, the staff and owner are super-friendly and very happy to recommend places to eat and things to see. The room was very comfortable with great beds, and had a fridge, hot and cold water dispenser, and coffee/tea facilities. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was nice and powerful. Overall, a really great experience!
