Location, staff's cooperation.

Intially they misguided me and offered a inferior room Ibooked. Then on my protest they allowed me the room I booked but claimed extra charges. Breakfast was inferior and low quality and daily repeatation of same menu.

Everything was excellent, location superb, room was big and clean. Silent beach view, good swimming pool for kids play.

Breakfast was little weak. Only one fruit daily.

The room was spacious.

The pool is attractive. But the tile below the pools quiet slippery.

Beautiful relaxing swimming pool area. The beautiful view over the ocean. Very spacious room with a great layout - same said for the bathroom. The bed was super big and super comfy. Bedding and towels were changed on a daily basis (?). Close to a very popular night market (wed/sat). Lots of shops around.

Just be aware of the fact that the hotel consists of two separate buildings (old & new). The new section obviously has a much better feel to it. It would have been nice if they could offer you fried eggs for breakfast as opposed to omelets everyday. For a long stay, you need some variety. I still can't understand why they refused to bake us some eggs.

Although this part of Kuah town is almost like a dead business district, it has everything you need for travellers. Just a walking distance to Kuah jetty (boat to Tuba Island and Koh Lipe), Lagenda beach, mosque, travel and tour offices, convinience stores including 7-11, pharmacy, Rams Decor (duty-free shop), 24/7 laundromat, Hasani bookstore (it has money changer inside the store) and few restaurants. 15-25min walk (for malay ladies ^^) to MAHA tower, Kuah night market(Saturday and Wednesday night I think) and HIG (duty-free shop). This part of Kuah is where the busy business district and shops are located. No complaint for room and shower room, and amenities except that they didn't provide toothbrush and toothpaste. But I always bring them with me when travel. I booked for standard room (located in other building) but changed to superior room (main building, added RM30 per night) due to the room for me looked gloomy and the window had the view of the back of dead shoplots. Breakfast: Quite okay for me, at least for the price I paid to stay in this premise. My review based on 4 nights I was here. It had coconut rice(nasi lemak) and omelette counter, salad and fruit counter, bread and porridge counter. At the middle counter, menu changed daily. It served menu like fried noddle(type of noodle changed daily), pancakes with maple syrup, chicken sausages, baked beans, french toast, mashed potato with gravy, etc. Drinks counter: daily of coffee, tea, orange cordial? and cold water. Tips for breakfast: Go there early. By 9 am, there will be many guests and sometimes you need to wait for a while for the meals like noodles, toast, even fruits to be replenished. You also need to queue for omelette. And the tables with seaview will also be fully occupied! Excluded review for pool since I didn't use it. Overall, I would book it again as I paid for seaview during sunset while dining :)

They didn't replenish toilet paper in my room during housekeeping 😥 2nd building looks a bit gloomy like a ghost shoplot. You could make it livelier. That was one of the reasons I paid extra to move to main building. My mobile data connection was wayyy better than wi-fi. I guess the remote tv is the universal one. No manual to operate the tv. I was planning to watch utube or even cast my phone to tv to watch movies. Perhaps there is no function for that with that brand and specifications of tv. I didn't bother to check. Breakfast: Sambal for coconut rice can be improved. Not too spicy for non-locals which is good but kinda "chayaq". Cold baked beans and it was still early, 7.30am!

Hotel Review: A Family-Friendly Paradise in Langkawi We recently stayed at De Baron Resort Langkawi and had an amazing experience. The resort exceeded our expectations in every way! Upgraded Room with No Extra Charge We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to find that our room had been upgraded at no additional charge. The room was spacious, clean, and had a beautiful view of the ocean. It was the perfect place to relax after a long day of exploring. Playpools - My Baby Really Enjoying The playpools were a huge hit with our baby. He loved splashing around and playing in the water. The pools were well-maintained and safe for kids of all ages. View - Very Great, Enjoying Seaview The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking. We spent hours sitting on our balcony, enjoying the stunning sea views. It was the perfect way to relax and unwind. Friendly Stuff The staff at De Baron Resort were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and ensure that we had everything we needed. Great Location The resort is located in a great spot, close to many of Langkawi's popular attractions. We were able to easily get around and explore the island.

The location was good with good ambience around the place with the jetty for night cruises close by. Though if you want to go for the mangrove tour you have to drive some distance. Resort has good facilities near by and decent resturant and market at walking distance.

Rooms are a bit dated and the swimming pool though quite good needs a better filter as the water gets murky during the day. Kuah where the resort is located is far from Pantai Cenang where the action is. But langkawi has good roads and is easy to get around with the town being quiet and peaceful.

Prime location in kuah, (1.3 km to jetty point), bike car rentals,food joints, departmental stores,parks very close property is spread across a large area, great sea views, 2 pools (one heated other mini water park for kids), hospitality could not be better, they readily allowed early check in at 10 am, missed my jetty on the checkout date at 7am & was allowed reentry until noon (couldn't thank enough). Strongly recommended for a value stay with excellent buffet breakfast

Our three-night stay was delightful. The room matched its description, and the highlight was definitely the swimming pool, which surpassed our expectations. The beach was conveniently within walking distance. During Ramadan, we enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere and delicious street foods just outside the hotel. Additionally, we took a leisurely stroll to the famous Eagle Square, only 2 Kms away, on our first evening. The staffs were exceptionally polite and friendly, enhancing our overall experience.

Enhancing English language training for restaurant staffs would greatly benefit the diverse range of international guests staying at the hotel.
