Firstly, the view from Veranda Nautica was absolutely insane! It was absolute paradise. Secondly, Gordon and Norlida were the best hosts we have ever had. It felt like we were staying with family. They gave us great suggestions and when I thought I had potentially lost my purse and panicked, I sent them a message and they checked our room straight away and found it. Thirdly, we really loved Kuah and how it was away from the tourist area. We really liked the restaurants, cafe and shopping, Kuah tower and the park next to Kuah tower.

Nothing. What I would say is that the road to get to Veranda Nautica may be a bit daunting for some people and we hired a scooter. This ended up being fantastic and we were able to zip around the island on our own schedule. I think if you are unable/don't want to drive, I think you could manage getting Grabs in the day and walking down the hill slightly to get a Grab.

This place is a hidden gem in Langkawi, perfect for a honeymoon. we had so much fun and Mr. Gordon and Mrs. Norlida was so friendly and so helpful they guide us to everything we want to do and even served us late breakfast which was very appreciated, breakfast was nice I really liked the fruit dish and the Malaysian jam. The room was decorated amazingly and clean, internet, clean towels and bed. This place is up the hill which will give you a wonderful view morning and night. Thank you for making our honeymoon a memorable experience will definitely come again in our anniversary 🥰

The only thing we had difficulty in was that some drivers will cancel the trip just because it’s up the hill, but we didn’t mind it because the location was unique. Also ordering food would be difficult to deliver, but we brought our food and Mr. Gordon was so kind to let us use his microwave to heat it up.

What can I say? There is not much I can add to what has already been said before. Gordon was an amazing host. I opted for the airport pick-up and drop-off service, which Gordon personally did himself (which was worth it for me because it was door-to-door and hassle-free). As mentioned by others, the road/ drive up to the Veranda Nautica was an adventurous drive, but was easy to get used to. We were greeted upon our arrival at the Veranda Nautica with refreshing drinks, fresh fruit and breathtaking views. Gordon provided great insights for a 3-day itinerary, including things to see and do, spas and places to eat. Thankfully, he was always a message away by Whatsapp - which was really great. He arranged for a 165cc scooter to be delivered directly to the Veranda Nautica at a reasonable rate, which was super convenient (just make sure you get the right size decent helmets with it). The room was clean , bright and comfortable with literally the best views of Langkhawi. A healthy breakfast every morning comprised of fresh juice, fresh coffee, freshly baked bread, jam, fresh fruit slices and cereal. My only regret was that I didn't stay longer and spend more time relaxing on the veranda enjoying the view !!

There is nothing to mention about what I didn't like, but just be aware of the following: 1. As mentioned by others, the road/ drive up to the Veranda Nautica was an adventurous drive and can be difficult to find if you arrive at night, but it was easy to get used to. I personally enjoyed the ride up and down by scooter. 2. Be aware that, as with any other property in the area, there is a lot of natural beauty and nature surrounding the property, such a birds, squirrels, small lizards and insects. Personally I love nature and did not find this to be an issue but an attraction.

You managed to get a room? Congratulations! What you won't find is a resort with a pool, but instead, a view that I doubt you'll find anywhere else on Langkawi. What you can expect is a room that lacks nothing and a terrace where, once you sit in the evening, you realize: "Yes, now I'm on vacation." You will also be greeted by two hosts, Gordon and Norlinda, who are not only incredibly kind but are always there to offer help and advice. Whether it's tips for excursions, restaurants, or the perfect beach day – they're always there for their guests. I'm glad I spent two wonderful days here and highly recommend this place.

Gordon and his wife were incredibly friendly and welcoming to us. They made us breakfast each morning and the views from their terrace are spectacular. The place itself was very cozy and cute. Wifi is VERY good (being Starlink) and everything was as described. I definitely recommend this place!

It’s best to have your own car. Grab drivers won’t go there. The drive is a bit tricky, especially at night. But it’s definitely doable. Just something to keep in mind.

Fantastic view and host. We came unplanned and let the host recommend. They have good contacts, and they managed to arrange for a wonderful anniversary dinner at short notice. Its near the main town, and wonderful dogs too! Breakfast was made fresh (love the bread), but it will be excellent if they can provide at least 1 different ala carte breakfast daily.

1. The uphill road leading was very challenging, especially at night and on rainy days. Do be careful. 2. Lizards abound but can't help it if you want to stay with nature.

The accommodation was very nice and modern, and the views from the balconies were fantastic (photos doesn’t do it justice). But what made our stay truly exceptional was the hospitality of the hosts! Gordon and his wife had made us feel at home, gave us great recommendation about the island, hosted delicious breakfast every morning and truly made our stay great. The extra bonus was the three super friendly and cute dogs that greeted us at the property. We will definitely come back again if we are back at Langkawi!

This place is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed in, the view from the veranda is just breathtaking. The room is clean and beautifully decorated. The entire facility is located quite far from the city center and getting to it is quite difficult, but thanks to the host's hospitality this is not a big problem. We could count on help with renting a scooter and organizing trips. Gordon also advised us on the best restaurants and picked us up and dropped us off at the ferry. It was a wonderful few days and I wish we could have stayed longer.

Gordon and Norlida are wonderful hosts and so very knowledgeable about everything Langkawi. It is hard to peel yourself from the Verandah after breakfast as the birdlife is so close and Gordon has so much interesting information on birds, monkeys and wildlife in general, really. Make sure to ask for dinner recommendations, you won't regret it.

As other guests note, the approach on the narrow winding and steep road is an adventure!

Staying at Veranda Nautica was the perfect way to start our vacation in Malaysia.It is surrounded by nature and with stunning views of the neighbouring islands. The room and bathroom were nicely decorated, spacious, and the AC worked well. Breakfast was delicious, and having it every morning in such a spectacular location is a thing we will always remember. The hosts are very warm and welcoming, they helped us with everything we needed, gave us tons of useful information but most of all, we had great conversations together. It's a good idea to rent a car , especially if you want to explore the island, but taxis or Grab are good options as well and they're inexpensive. Langkawi is a safe place to drive, there's never too much traffic and it has a good infrastructure.
