My stay at Damai Laut was a tranquil and refreshing experience. The resort is surrounded by calm, scenic views, and the sunset was absolutely stunning—perfect for a quiet evening by the sea. The room was clean and comfortable, offering a pleasant space to rest after a long day. However, a small detail worth noting is the dustbin provided—it was pretty small, which can be inconvenient, especially for more extended stays. The pool area was excellent, with separate sections for children and adults. The kids' pool was delightful and safe, while the adult pool offered a relaxing spot to cool down and enjoy the view. Breakfast was decent, with a good setting and attentive staff. However, the selection was somewhat limited, and the flavors could be improved—it leaned a bit on the bland side. This was similar to the general dining experience throughout the stay. The food overall lacked variety and could benefit from more flavorful options. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile. Parking was also convenient, with plenty of space and easy access to the main areas. Overall, Damai Laut is a peaceful retreat with beautiful surroundings and welcoming service. With a few improvements to the food and room amenities, it could be an even better destination for a relaxing getaway.

The biggest area for improvement is the food—both in terms of taste and selection. With a more flavorful menu and a wider variety of options, the dining experience would better match the quality of the overall resort.

All in one place. Can do so many activities there especially for kids. The room is so comfy and the view is nice because i took seaview room. Because the view is sooooooooooooo beautiful amd the beach is so clean and the sunset is sooo cherish. I wish i can wakeup there every single day. My kids really love the kids club and the pool. I really love the view there

My room the shower not so clean. There a lot green moss on the floor. when i try to spray the moss it comes out. A bit disgusting. The shower wall also a bit dirty and yellowish. Plus it is not safe for kids that like playing in the shower. Sit and touch the floor and so on. The toilet a bit clogged. When i flush the toilet the the drain goes slowly and the water almost overflows. Need to flush few times to get the stool to flow away. Please check out the room 2516 condition.

The hotel was awesome.this is my first hilton experience check in was smooth.the cookies are so delicious.the beach is super clean the pool is almost like waterpark.thebkids enjoy very much.we even take atv nearby the beach.the breakfast has so many choices.overall is definitely worth every penny

They can improve the taste for breakfast

The overall experience was very good. Although there were ants issue in the beginning, the staffs were very helpful in fixing the situation and helped us move to a better room. They were particularly concerned and checked up on our new room to ensure no more issues arose. It was also good that the hotel provided WhatsApp to easily contact any manager in charge to inform of any issues. The rooms were clean and pretty, and looked brand new too. We do have a tiny issue with the glass doors for the shower and toilet as the material is not completely opaque, and there are too many switches for the lights, it gets confusing at night. Also, the mattress was extremely soft that it's a bit unfortunate for people with back problems as it causes pain. Thankfully there is a sturdy sofa so that's an alternative. For breakfast, we had a multitude of choices and the food tasted good. The swimming pool was deep and big enough to enjoy and the scenery was amazing. The only negative part of this hotel is that there are no shops around the area. So if you want to go buy things outside the hotel compound, using a vehicle is a must. All in all, our vacation was enjoyable and ended nicely.

Buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent. The staff serving in Makan kitchen were very welcoming, helpful, attentive, service with a smile, especially the part time trainee lady server and Adriana. The chefs were also excellent. We enjoyed the Northern states dishes and local Perak state cuisine there very much. Magnolia ice cream selection for breakfast and dinner was just amazing for us as we cannot get this wonderful ice cream anywhere else outside Malaysia. Zakuan at reception was very helpful and Solihan who delivered our luggage to our room gave a warm welcoming and exceptional service.

We would have preferred the fridge to be a little bit bigger and not so narrow.

Its clean, comfortable and spacious with wonderful and gorgeous sunsets. The welcome cookies at check were very well received, as were the lobby water and juice stations that were available throughout the day. Very friendly and helpful staff too. The breakfast/dinner buffets were delicious and really good value for money.

They should offer the dinner buffet everyday instead of making it subject to occupancy. The hotpot buffet is nowhere near as good and could easily be replaced with a more continuous dinner buffet offering. There should be tablecloths for the dinner buffet - it could help add to the ambience.

We are a family of two adults and a 6 year old and we stayed in DoubleTree for 3 days and 2 nights. We were extremely pleased with our stay, from the moment we checked in until the day we checked out. 1. The hotel and facilities were clean and well-maintained. 2. The room was clean, spacious, well-lit and amenities were well stocked. The hotel uses Crabtree & Evelyn products - lotion, body wash, hair shampoo and hair conditioner! 3. The hotel staff, from front desk to housekeeping, security, dining were kind and friendly. 4. The mini water park was fun to play in. There were security personnel monitoring for safety. 5. There is also a beautiful private beach.

The pool was superb - my kids enjoyed it to the max. Their staff - very polite and helpful. Breakfast - just enough variety to choose from. Nasi lemak is so good. The best is their teh tarik, done on the spot! Rooms are great, not that big and spacious but just enough. Love the ambience and the new refurbished furniture. Love most the scenery and surrounding areas, the best for a get-away vacation. definitely will repeat again!

The hotel is situated too far remote. You have to travel 30 minutes to the nearest town to get your lunch and dinner. Would be great to have at least a convenience store nearby for a quick grab and go.

The staff were polite & friendly. They accommodated our request for connecting rooms and placed our rooms near to each other. Food was great. Compliments to the chefs at the Makan restaurant. The view of the sea was amazing (sunset). Beach is not private but bcoz its so far away, only the hotel guests were seen there. It was easy to communicate w the staff via whatsapp if we needed anything. Pool was fun for the kids (even for teens). The spa was exceptional. Shout out to my masseuse, Dila who was amazing.

The bidet in our room (3416) was leaking & the light switches were not matched to the correct lights. The resort is super far from civilisation. Haha.. the road was winding and there were many monkeys. But its great if u're trying to get away from the city. The door for 3401 must be closed properly, it doesnt self-close entirely. This is a safety concern. Balcony had only 1 chair & it smells of cigarettes.

It’s quite far from town, so getting around or finding food outside the hotel isn’t super easy unless you drive. Not many food options at the resort, especially if you’re staying more than a couple of nights.
