Beautiful charming building with 5 of 6 rooms on the first floor, close to KL International Airport. Nearby (5 min walk) there are shops and many restaurants. Our room was large and nice. There are multiple nice sitting area's inside and outside the house. The pool is lovely on a beautiful terras. The owners, a very friendly and welcoming couple, obviously love to take good care of their guests. Breakfast was a very nice surprise and so good. There is a busy road behind the house but it didn't bother us, otherwise the area felt really quiet.

The hosts truly understand standby travellers—which is awesome! So far, we have never met hosts or staff who understood us as standby travellers this well. Thumbs up! We planned to stay at Rumah Putih for 2 nights during our family trip to Malaysia. This was our last stop before heading home. At the end we're able to catch our first flight home and thus stayed 1 night and 1 complete day. James and Jo are very friendly hosts who run this B&B together. They served us a super nice and fresh breakfast exactly when we asked for it, and were very flexible with our schedule. The house is located in a quiet, secured neighbourhood. When we arrived with our Grab from KLIA, the security officer needed to give us access to drive to the house—this gave a very safe and secure feeling. The family room was spacious, clean, and had two single beds for the kids and one double bed for the parents. We really appreciated this after spending most of our holiday in shared double beds. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. Overall, a great place to stay—we’d happily come back!

Two lighthearted remarks: Compared to our previous spot, the air conditioning worked a bit harder to keep up—but it was fine in the end. Like many places in Asia (so not specific to this B&B), we had a few tiny ant visitors in the house. A fun reminder we’re not in Europe anymore! Luckily, they stayed out of the room.

The staff was very amazing. He was very kind and supportive. When our family with small kids arrived at night, we were hungry, but the road to restaurants area was a bit scary since we needed to cross the road through running cars. He guided us to the restaurant zone for our safety. Also, he served breakfast early for us to meet our departure time. We stayed there only 12 hours, and had less time to say thank you. However, our family, including two kids, felt very appreciated for his hospitality.

The only thing is a bit harder to find the ring at the gate.

We stayed overnight on our way out of Malaysia and on our return homeward bound. James and Jo were accommodating, friendly and helpful in suggesting local places to eat, markets to visit and malls to shop at. The facilities at their home are more than adequate with all you need for a comfortable stay. We particularly liked the feeling of being in a local environment and close to the airport.

Everything was quite perfect and if we were picky we could mention that there is only one setting on the overhead fan and that is full blast.

We stayed a night in transit to BKK. Firstly, I booked the accommodation a day earlier than I was supposed to (thankfully they were able to accommodate us on our actual arrival date). Breakfast was served on our arrival which was DEEElicious! We used the pool, had a nap, then went to the local mall. Didn’t see much else due to jet lag and leaving early the next day, but there is information provided on what to do locally or getting into KL. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and welcoming. Will be staying again on our way back.

Rumah Putra is everything one would NOT expect from a hotel that is close to a major airport and hence mostly caters for transfer passangers. It felt like a home away from home - a lovely colonial style residential house in a quiet yet most accessible residental area, with plenty of places to eat etc nearby. A quiet and classy getaway from all the noise and crowds of the metropol. James was the kindest host and we definitely want to come back.

Good location. Good local food options in walking distance. Responsive friendly host. Flexible re access. In room information/instructions (for some things) a bonus (rare in our experience). Multiple guest available seating areas inside and out, which is good because the room we stayed in really only contained the beds. Clean. Room and pool towels supplied. As per photos.

No information provided as to breakfast availability times, so we missed breakfast and thus can't comment on the breakfast experience. Otherwise, all good.

We are a family of 4 and spent one night at Rumah Putih before our flight to Bali. We loved our stay, my daughters loved the pool, beds were very comfortable, nice shower with shampoo and shower gel and plenty of towels. Breakfast was wonderful, toast with egg, a stack of pancakes, fruit and something sweet. More than enough and tasted very good. Restaurants within 5 min walk. Had a very nice meal in a local restaurant. Thank you James for your hospitality, tips and great smile. All the best to you and we hope to come back soon!

Excellent communication by the owners with regards to my requirement to stay during the day time (due to long transit in KL) James showed us the area we can go for lunch with locals and it was very helpful too. Rooms are great and spacious, bed was so comfortable too

None I was surprised as the owner asked us to remove shoes when coming in but it was okay

Loved this place! I was a 20min, 30MYR grab from the airport, it was quiet, comfortable and very clean. We used for the night before our early flight home - we were able to eat at the local food vendors just 5mins walk away, have a late night dip in the pool and got to the airport without stress the next day. The owner James was warm and friendly and we felt very safe.

Nothing, we will use again and will be reccomending to family for their visit!
