This is an absolute joy of a place to stay. We stayed at the beginning and the end of a personal ocean kayaking trip. Benny built the cabanas and owns the place. He is a true craftsman and artist. His eye for detail and his gift for growing all the plants in the courtyard are well worth mentioning. We brought a feathercraft kayak that needed to be assemble and disassemble on the property. And although the space to do this was small Benny was more than happy to accommodate us with this special request of needed space. He also let us store some luggage there while we were away. We choose the cabana that had a twin bed downstairs and a queen on the upper floor as my buddy snores and it was great to have the separate rooms. The location is excellent as it is close to the pedestrian walkway where you can find many places to eat and there are two large grocery stores and a liquor store just a short walk away.

I had a wonderful stay at Benny's cabañas. The unit I stayed in was comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed. Location was excellent, in a relatively quiet neighborhood that was centrally location and extremely walkable. Benny was very helpful with local recommendations and a joy to talk to. Despite being in the midst of a family emergency when I arrived, he was very attentive and accommodating. I highly recommend a stay here.

The location couldn’t be more central and Benny was so great. The cabaña itself was bigger than I anticipated and beautifully decorated. It even featured a hot plate and some cookware.

The one thing missing was any cleaning products like dish soap or dish towels for cleaning up after the cooking, though they may have provided this on request, I didn’t ask!

Absolutely beautiful casita!! It is right on the road, so during the late evening it was a little noisy - but to my happy surprise all noise ceased around 10pm and it was totally silent all night. The garden outside is magical and Benny was very kind. 15/10 recommend!!

We had a hard time finding the place at first because a street number was not provided with the address - we walked the entire street looking for it and found it eventually, it is on the downtown side of Buena Vista road.

My sister and I spend 2 wonderful days in Benny's cabanas. We loved it! We met the Owner and he was pleasant and helpful asking if we were comfortable. The location is amazing, walking distance from everything , the beautiful church, restaurants and the ocean. We also felt very safe. Thank you Benny, from Gaby and Dinorah.

Benny is the perfect host and owner. You can tell that he takes pride in his cabanas he crafted and maintains with his own hands. He was at the door when I arrived and made sure that all my questions were answered. The cabana was perfect for my needs. I didn't use the loft sleeping space as I was by myself. The small kitchen area was equipped with cooking pots and pans, and a two-burner propane hot plate. Bring a lighter or matches. The outside courtyard was sweet with colorful tables and chairs. The location was perfect, near the center of town and on a relatively quiet street.

Excellent location in a quiet neighborhood, one block off the pedestrian only walkway and three blocks from the Mission. Benny was a wonderful host . The Cabaña was immaculats and so was the whole property. Beautiful, tropical grounds. Lush tropical plants. Would love to stay here again sometime.

Cabañas Rústicas El Benny is a top place to spend a few days in the lovely little town of Loreto. The Centro Historico is right around the corner, 1 minute away with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. The malecon is like 10 minutes away. The rooms are located in a lovely garden, very peaceful. Wifi is good. Rooms are clean, and Benny is a top host.

The bathroom is a bit on the small side, as well water pressure is not sensational, but I would not say this is a showstopper to keep you away.

Our cabaña was clean and comfortable. It has stairs inside (wanted to note this for anyone who is disabled). The location is excellent, close to downtown. The shower was hot and had good pressure! Beny was a helpful and kind host. Parking was available on the street for free as advertised. The courtyard in the back was full of beautiful greenery.

It was loud at night with barking dogs and vehicles on the streets around the property. Just bring earplugs. Probably par for the city.
