The food at Almatierra was some of the best that I had during my stay, and was always an incredible value for what was served. The ingredients were fresh and the portions were always hearty. The room was comfortable and well maintained. There is a wonderfully cozy feel about the grounds of the property and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Cleanliness

The massage therapist - too young and inexperienced. Massage on December 30 2024 at 8:00 am. Room cold ! Very uncomfortable! Therapist felt uncomfortable during massage. No personality - too young. I’d like more lighted signs at night it was difficult navigating to the location. The signs should be big and happy - providing reassurance that we are traveling in the right direction.

the room size was perfect. there was no view from the room but once outside, it was beautiful. the Pool and jacuzzi were well kept. they had pool towels in the room. there was a Keurig coffee machine with two pods. they provided bicycles and it was perfect for morning exercise. furthermore, they gave us 400 pesos credit for use in our breakfast which covered most of our check! lastly, the rooms are updated and decorated to our liking

The hotel was beautiful and we loved the grapevines in the middle of the property. The food at the restaurant was good and the entertainment at night was a lot of fun. We loved the beautiful pool and the rooms were a good size.

There are smells coming from the septic/sewer system and it was especially bad in our room when we arrived because the back windows were left open. Once they were closed, the smell was gone but we would sometimes smell it as we walked through the hotel property.

The location was perfect. The resort is in the heart of Valle, close to the wineries. It was easy to get to the destination. The staff were very nice and hospitable.

Unfortunately, our TV couldn't connect to the wifi but we had been out by the firepits until late, so it wasn't a big deal, but it should have been checked.

Beautiful property. Helpful staff. Small items like wifi and room safe need to be better attended to. Delicious food.

Staff was great. The setting was unique with grapevines everywhere. The restaurant was exceptional. I would go back.

We had a coffee maker but no coffee. The staff provided upon request. Location is a little out of the way.

The room had everything we needed.

The rugs beside the bed were very slippery on the floor. It seemed like a person could get hurt if it slipped out from under you.

Everything about Ojo Azules was A-1.

My only concern is how soon can I return to enjoy a terrific resort.
