The property is located really well in the historic center and if you want to get around downtown. The room was spacious and super clean. The stuff was very nice except for one receptionist who ruined the whole experience when we were checking out. You have to leave a deposit for any damages and you are not allowed to leave without them inspecting the room. However we were already late for our flight and were asking him to hurry up and he then stubbornly resisted doing anything at all. Then we said we are going to leave in order to catch the plane and he said he was going to call the police. The cleaning lady checked the room at the end and everything was ok, we got the deposit back but unfortunately this bad experience ruined the otherwise nice stay in the hotel.

The streets around it were quite busy and the air quality was really bad, definitely worse than in other parts of the city we visited. Other everything was great - except for our check out experience as already mentioned.

Great location. There was some confusion about the breakfast whether eggs were included or not. We were told the first day eggs were not included and we were supposed to only have what was at the buffet which was okay for the most part although we think the dished should be labelled. Towards the end of our stay we were told we could order eggs. Raul who waited on our table towards the end of our stay was excellent.

The room was very small without a window. The hangars in the cupboard were very high, they should be brought lower like in other hotels we have stayed at. There should be more lights in the room especially near the cupboard and large mirror.

I want to leave a review to counteract negative reviews, because the negative reviews made me really nervous unnecessarily. Our stay at Punto MX was great. My fiance and I spent extra to be in a room with a private hot tub and my parents spent less to stay in a room without an exterior-facing window. Our stay was perfectly comfortable. The staff were all kind and attentive. The location was safe and convenient to get to the city center and many tourist destinations.

The buffet breakfast was not that great (I would not recommend paying to add it) but ordering off of the breakfast menu was very good. Those dishes are more "American" and we enjoyed having an American-type breakfast on our 4th or 5th day there. It is true that the faucets are not designed very well so they spray. This isn't really a big deal though. I figured out in about 5 seconds that you can just put the faucet to a lower pressure and it's basically fine. This is true for the sinks and the hot tub.

Rooms are small but efficient, updated and clean. The staff was excellent and the breakfast was high quality.

Our room 410 was right next to a pile driver which operated day and night with erratic frequency ranging from every 2 minutes to every half hour. It was so close you could hear the release mechanism, the swoosh of the sleeve then a loud bang that literally shakes the room slightly. It is eeriely like being close to the target end of an artillery range. This has been mentioned in posts going back weeks (months?). We mentioned how disturbing this was and someone said they would investigate but no change through our 4 day stay. We highly recommend this place but I wouldn't book if you are not a deep sleeper and can't be guaranteed a room distant from that end until the construction is completed.

I really enjoyed the big room that I booked. The bed was comfortable, the big bathtub was great and the location was very central in the historic center of the city. I only spent time in restaurant the last day of my stay as I hung out there in order to wait for my late flight back to the US. The staff was very welcoming and the food was great.

The Wifi in the room on the first floor was extremely slow and unstable. Oddly enough, it was much better in the restaurant downstairs. So, there might be a problem with the extenders that really need to be fixed. Also, the sink in the bathroom would spray all over the place when turned up to high. Something that should be easy to fix.

We really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff in the restaurant at breakfast and in the evening when we stopped for drinks or a light meal when we were tired from a day of touring. A special thank you to Raul, America and Irene in the restaurant. Our housekeeper Silvia was an angel and Jorge, the concierge was super helpful and dependable.

Breakfast was nice with lots of fruit and made to order eggs/omelets, etc. could improve by keeping pancakes and waffles hot under warming lights. Also, a better selection of bread and buns would be a great addition.

A well organised and operated hotel. Location is spot on. The staff are super professional and friendly except the one front desk lady in the evening who would not respond to any greetings and stared blankly at you. Comfortable beds. Good size room. Very quiet. The buffet breakfast was incredible for one morning at least. The next mornings it appeared reheated and one third of the options. Still good though. Quite a nice hotel but I would not stay there again. Better value elsewhere.

A little bit clinical and some of the hotel policies seem a bit serious at first glance. But understandable to protect themselves from disrespectful guests. I never had hot water. My room mate said that they did but I wasn't comfortable wasting 12 to 15 minutes of water to have a hot shower. The coffee percolater came with 2 cups but only one portion of coffee and sugar and creamer so we had to share one cup. The ducted air con did not work at all in room 208. We asked for assistance from the front desk to take a look at it and failing the ability to repair it that they leave us a standing fan to compensate for the stuffy heat in the room. They did not help us with a fan. The thermostat read 27 degrees Celsius! Be advised. Don't stay in room 208.

The location of Hotel Punto MX is excellent and was for me the mani reason to choose this hotel. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable and I really enjoyed the proper desk plus chair to work on my computer.

I really missed a proper view from my room as the only window had 'milk glass' and did not even allow me to get a proper impression of the weather. I also was not so impressed by the breakfast as availability of items seemed to vary according to the number of people staying in the hotel.

The property was great! Breakfast buffet food was really good (ask for Raul- he was great!). Location was good- we could walk to a ton of restaurants, Zocalo, Bellas Artes, Museums. Very convenient!

The only reason I didn’t give this property a 10 was that we booked a room with a jacuzzi. The jets went out of control and started squirting dirty water everywhere. After that we were scared to use the tub again. Note to self: just book a regular room🤭.

The location is great for a deep dive into the cultural center of Mexico City. The hotel is clearly all renovated and full of new amenities. It's a bonus to have breakfast included and the food was good.

The room was dark, as there was no outdoor window. I understand the hotel is in the old downtown area which provides a complex internal architecture, so even though I didn't like that, it is not their fault and they renovated the hotel thinking about it, which is great. However, I would try to book a room with an outdoor window if I come back there one day. The breakfast was good, the only thing I didn't like was that for a latte (coffee with hot milk) I needed to pay extra.
