I loved the hotel, much better than what I expected. I have travelled a lot and this is definitely one of the top spots I have been to. It is such a magical place, surrounded by nature and complemented by an extraordinary architecture and design in the rooms. It makes a difference when someone loves their job, it shows and it makes a difference to the experience. Having said that, big regards to Ivan Ayala, Irving Vargas, Itzel and Pamela who really made our stay more than special. Had an amazing birthday week!

Some people are driven mainly by tips, so when you don't meet their requirement you can really tell. In all other aspects, I can really just point out that Jetty needs a richer menu... The food was just ok... whereas in all other restaurants food was exceptional

Villas were excellent. The property was pristine. Service and hospitality is up to par with the top 20 hotels/ resorts worldwide.

Food and food services have room for improvement. For example, if your guest orders coffee, bring some cream, sugar just in case. Menu choices are limited. Unfortunately, when the best choice is the buratta pizza, it’s disappointing. Anticipating guest needs can also improve.

Very unique. Lush vegetation/forest, the tree houses are just splendid. Exceptional views. Very attentive staff. Great food. Very fresh ingredients. Great drinks! It is very peaceful also and therapeutic. Privacy is guaranteed. All you hear and see is nature. Wonderful for a retreat from work.

Fairly new Resort, and therefore still some organizational issues.

We loved the resort. Our room was very private, and the view was amazing. Ocean Views were terrific, and sleeping in the treetops of the rain forest. However, Butler service can be a bit slow from a buggy ride and in-room ice request perspective. We quickly learned that the fastest path to getting a ride from your room is to call for buggy service through the front desk. The resort uses WhatsApp for butler communication, so you should download and set it up in advance if you don't have that on your smartphone. All of the restaurants were great. Food quality and service are what you would expect at a property of this caliber. The only issue we had was with our private plunge pool. The pool was quite green after the 1st day. Unfortunately, the maintenance staff added enough chemicals to service an Olympic-sized swimming pool which rendered it unusable.

The property is absolutely stunning. Set in the middle of the jungle and right on the beach. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly.

Breath taking location! Being in the middle of the jungle and hearing the ocean was amazing. The Jetty beach is very nice. Easy to swim and pretty to hang out. The staff is excellent!! Extremely friendly!! Especially the staff at the tree top bar - Christian, ruben & Fernando- were extremely nice, helpful and they went above and beyond. Definitely worth the stay!

Rooms could be a bit more private

It's one of the best hotels in the world for a reason. Incredible villas, beaches, food. Felt like superstars.

Honestly nothing

Everything about Mandarina is beyond what one imagines. From the architecture, the thought behind the choices of materials and interiors, to the friendly and informative staff, to the excellent food - we got more than we expected. This place is jaw dropping beautiful. The infinity pools flowing into either the ocean high above the rainforest or onto the rainforest are magical and spectacular. Food was delicious (a bit on the expensive side). This is a super special place whether for families with little kids or couples seeking quiet and refuge.

Since getting around this 200+ acre property in the rainforest is a bit challenging, a buggy drives you from place to place which can be a bit inconvenient. From the time one calls for a buggy to arrival time, it can range from 15 to 30 minutes so planning is required.
